Will we Feelgood on Tuesday? Southend Utd (A), 4/4/17, 19:45
One for all you 50-somethings out there (ie the youth wing of this forum).
I've still got my ticket from the postponed game, so I'll make the journey out to Essex on Tuesday evening. Hoping to see another famous victory, though I'll take a point in the hope that Oxford can fillet the Fishy Ones on Wednesday.

Let's hope we're not Down By The Jetty, etc.
Also: it would be a fitting place to see success for Wilko.

Yes. If they beat us they go level with Fleetwood and Bradford from absolutely nowhere. And they have form on their side, plus relatively easy fixtures after that.officer_dibble wrote: ↑Sun Apr 02, 2017 9:00 amTake a point! This lot are the form team of the chasing pack, no?
Probably the biggest game we've got left. Win and they are out of the equation and barring some miraculous turn in Fleetwood's form we are very close. Lose and its nervy times all round.

Form team of the chasing pack, yes. But we're currently the "form team" over the Last 6.officer_dibble wrote: ↑Sun Apr 02, 2017 9:00 amTake a point! This lot are the form team of the chasing pack, no?

Nervous about this one though, they have the best home form in the last 6 games and have only lost there twice in 19. I'd be delighted with three points and pretty happy with one.

Hopefully we had our rickety bridge game yesterday ( the one that changes fame and fortune) and can get a right attitude for this. Teams all seem ready to have a go at us earlier rather than later in games and I hope we don't just do pure damage limitation excercises. A couple of wins should put us over the line in the sand, but did I get the feeling that we weren't going to risk a pure up-front big lad like Wilkinson who might not get back and defend (even Madine seems useful in doing that for corners, free kicks etc,) as opposed to keeping the barriers up? I can see the sense in caution but the ariel over-the-head balls to the likes of Clayton, five feet nine, Alf, claimed at five feet ten or Long claimed the same, are just so much time wasting unless they can rise like salmon, a la Andy Walker or Helguson to win the ball. Parky is provong his point by results in his selections. Just hope we get back on the scoring track again. Those four goal games have spoiled me for 0-0 draws. Madine is due a return like now......

Evening Bolton people. We're really looking forward to your visit on Tuesday night, it's a shame we couldn't have got this game over that very frozen line in January as you would probably have had more supporters at the Hall on a Saturday afternoon and our then groundsman would have been happier but there you go. We're expecting a pretty full house from the home crowd's point of view but I wondered whether any of you know how many will be coming down for this one now. As to the outcome, you're flying and so are we so it should be a cracker. Apart from Tuesday, good luck for the rest of the season.
By the way, what's the Feelgoods and Wilko's connection with Bolton. I used to watch them a fair bit when they started up on Canvey Island.

Hi there. No Feelgoods connection to Bolton; it's just that I sometimes opt for a music related thread title (and I'm of an age!).Rootshallbloke wrote: ↑Sun Apr 02, 2017 8:56 pmEvening Bolton people. I've seen it somewhere - possibly on the club's Twitter - that we're taking 500 or so. That's arpproximately the number that went to Gillingham & Oxford for recent Tuesday night games. I believe we'd sold around 1,000 tickets for the original Saturday fixture.
I see your lads, down to 10 at 0-0, still managed to beat Oldham on Saturday while we struggled to breakdown Chesterfield. I hope that was a blip and normal sevice is resumed on Tuesday, but I'd take a point right now.
Good luck in the play offs!

Looking at 600ish i think. Definitely a couple of form teams. I thought Sunbed's days were numbered after the links with us and your unconvincing start. Fair play to him though, he's turned it round brilliantly.Rootshallbloke wrote: ↑Sun Apr 02, 2017 8:56 pmEvening Bolton people. Phil went through a pretty torrid time with our fans over early results this season and then his links with your manager's job. The chairman stuck by him and things have settled down now though, and his signings of the likes of Ferdinand, Cox, Ranger and Fortune have got most fans onside as those four have really added to the quality of the squad. Ranger especially has been a revelation. All he has to do is stay out of trouble, easy for him eh?

Missed the 4 PM deadline on Friday and no chance to get to Bolton central etc!

Looks likely. Official Twitter replied to someone saying they'd confirm on Monday morning. So in the next 17 minutes then!onlywanderer wrote: ↑Mon Apr 03, 2017 10:21 amAny one know if this might be pay on the day?

He has tried for the finish line with a FA ban for recreational drug use and a pending court case sentence for fraud, but football wise he's been an absolute poppet on the pitch and a joy to watch. Sadly he had the shit kicked out of him by Oldham on Saturday and his right foot is now in a cast, it doesn't look good.officer_dibble wrote: ↑Mon Apr 03, 2017 10:16 amIs that nile ranger?
