1:38:24 today at Paddock Wood half marathon. Not my best time but I beat the boss by a minute and a half.
Sounds like a decent run. Was it a pb course?
Definitely. I'm not pb fit but if you wanted to give it a go I would recommend. This and Wantage are two of the flattest halfs I've run.
Can't imagine racing that far again. 15 years since my last one. I did the swinton 10 miler 5 years ago so you never know i suppose.
Let's see how quickly I finish in Beverley. FNARRRRRR

Unbelievably after doing my first PR in 14 weeks, my comeback at Worsley was marred by being logged as 'unknown'! Who recruits these barcode scanning buffoons? 🤔

Fortunately, after a few FB messages I was given my time of 29:32. Inside my target of 30 mins, so I am a very happy chappie this evening!

Humph. Git text and email saying 20:59 but official results sat 21:28. Sounds more like it to be honest. Another ticked off on my quest to complete the Yorkshire/Humber region anyway.

Excellent work. Well done. Ran with Mrs GtE on Saturday on her inaugural Parkrun in Enfield (Oakhill Park). It's a fast flat route so may have a crack myself soon just to see if I can crack 21 minutes again.

Nice one beefy!

Back home for easter so made it down today with my dad, great to bump into Bruce as well. Awaiting my result but think about 27ish. Went off like a train but the second trip up the hill did me in. That and the seemingly infinite run down away from the track near the end. Torture! :D

Northallerton today. Felt grim. Hills on Thurs and gym yesterday. Not seen time yet, forgot watch. Now pub crawling round Newcastle frantically checking the score.

Well done Beefy lad!

Good to see Beefy and great to meet Soze this morning (and his dad :) ).

Unfortunately my back started to play up coming up Cruella and I didn't want to risk going up it a second time so pulled up between 2 and 3K.

Back to some flat runs first, I reckon.

Was up north over Easter. Did a 10k through Adlington, Horwich and Rivington in 47:57.

Tonight did my bitch hill 5k in a pb 21:50. Looking forward to getting a park run or two over summer to get a proper time in a road-traffic-less route.

Been adding a few hill sprints into my normal 5k and defo helping my times.

Good running. Hillsprints with active rest to keep the heart rate decent are really useful for 5k training.

Agreed. Hill sprints and efforts are excellent for you 5km and 10km time.

Looking forward to tomorrow. Marshalling at Mile 18 on the London Marathon. Long day but really good fun.

19:29 parkrun this morning. Haven't broken 20 for as many parkruns as I've not seen an away win.

Pfft. Think I'll be well finished before 19:29. I'm WAY more than halfway round now and it's only 17:53.

First post dodgy back Parkrun completed this morning. Slow, but 3 minutes quicker than my midweek run around Longsight Park on Wednesday, so all appears to be looking to be on the way up. :)
