Spose we'll now get to see if the biased MSM have been rigging the polls.

Why would he? He's leading a political revolution and will sweep Labour to power in a glorious victory.
That's what his supporters have kept on saying. Now they have to be held accountable for that.
Re: The Politics Thread
I hope the police are geared up to monitor political interference from the EU in our election, Juncker and Tusk main suspects.

Re: The Politics Thread
I saw a headline a while back that Google was introducing a true/false for news stories... so, someone makes an outrageous claim and Google puts you right. Not sure if that was an April fool or if that's actually coming in any time soon.
Generally, if 50+% of the voting public want Brexit and a lot of them are Northern Labour supporters. Who are those people going to vote for? If they all want hard Brexit at any cost it could be a landslide!
The players you fail to sign never lose you any money.

Re: The Politics Thread
IIRC he and McDonnel have both said he'd have to.
But then if he does there's not a cat in hell's chance the PLP will let that happen again and Corbyn knows it.
So that'll be fun.
Hot take in early though, it won't be their fault...

£500m a week for the NHS.

Oooh, it's a win-win for the Government, Labour party and virtually everyone except little Timmy and Cleggie, who will disappear back into obscurity. Even the Scottish question may become irrelevant.

Perhaps stick an extra £50m on that figure just to make sure we get all the idiots.

Assuming they win a big majority. The only issue is that if Labour do as badly as expected, that it potentially leads to Corbyn going and Labour actually being a force in 5 years time. Which I think is what most inside Labour want.bedwetter2 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 18, 2017 1:53 pmOooh, it's a win-win for the Government, Labour party and virtually everyone except little Timmy and Cleggie, who will disappear back into obscurity. In a way it puts them out of their misery earlier and longer term may be a bit of a strategic error from May.
Generally early elections are called when the government feels it is in a strong position but there is some potentially bad news round the corner. I cannot possibly imagine what that might be....
Re: The Politics Thread
As someone on Twitter has said, imagine how bad May must know Brexit is going to be if she's willing to throw away three years of Corbyn.

Well, we have a Government that's U-turned on just about everything since getting elected, and I think they're going to walk it. Which tells you everything you need to know about Corbyn.

That's why I said it is a win for the Labour party provided, of course, that Corbyn et al fall on their swords and Momentum once again becomes Militant Tendency.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Tue Apr 18, 2017 2:00 pmAssuming they win a big majority. Although I am no supporter of the Labour party I, at least, can see that politics becomes somewhat moribund without an official opposition to ask searching questions of the Government.

I'm not sure it's a bad thing for the Lib Dems though, think the will pinch a few seats from Labour and the Tories. Lots of the 48% may vote for them.

I'm just going to vote for whoever is the orangest. And tells the biggest whoppers, because they must be true.
