World Cup 2018

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

Magical result. Could easily have been the banana skin game. Started a bit shakily and grew into it. Two really good goals and a few possibles. Pickford was amazing in the nets and the whole team played professionally and well. Still think Danny Rose, is a better option than Ashley Young on the left and Sterling still isn't quite 100 % on the mark, but it's easy to find faults. I thought the ref was fair, but he missed a few sly shoves on Kane. Harry McGuire...he's the man. What a header. a well deserved win. Well done lads.

That was disturbingly competent.

Right, Croatia it is.

I'm ashamed to say that I'm already beginning to experience the early symptoms of panic-fanny-itis.

V Croatia. I think I'd prefer it to have been Russia, but they blew their chance with two shockingly bad penalties. Coatia will believe they can beat us, and this time we have to go in believing the same. In and win; we're good enough and we have the players. We'll never have a better chance....COME ON.... :oyea:

Terrific footballer in fairness and worked really hard yesterday. We'll keep him quiet. If we score our goal and defend well it matters not what he does. I think it'll be a tough scrap.

Not the best penalty taker however....

Oh, I wouldn't bet on him missing twice Monty, but luckily I hope we won't need penalties.

Neither Croatia nor England could ever have dreamed of facing a weaker opponent in a semi final. It's a dream chance for both countries really.

England the better team so far, Croatia have the better individuals.

Bring it on.

Keep girly quiet and use pace to get past a slow Croatian backline, don't give away to many set pieces, has to be the plan.

Forget France, beat Croatia. Nothing else matters right now. I'm rather glad France won though because Belgium played really well. Hazard and DeBruyne are a lethal combination.

France were miles better than Belgium and a stronger team all round.

The tournament is France's to lose. They are good in all departments and in Mbappe have the "X Factor" that can make a difference.

England would (if we get through) give them a game though. Lets get through and see what happens.

They weren't miles better. It was a close game decided by a set-piece, again.

I thought they looked a lot stronger. Especially after the first 20 minutes.

This. If it were played again I wouldn't bet on the result. Scorewise one Fellaine very closely missed header was a decider.

Come on! If the Belgian work in the first half had resulted in a goal Macaroni would have been crying on his mummies shoulder.

I'm holding onto that thought. A bunch of young honest players performing well above expectations and eclipsing the pitiful efforts of Rooney, Beckham, Hart and the other collection of publicity hungry whores
