3RB: Olki, Little, Darby,
2LB: Taylor, Wilson?

2RW: SAmeobi, Noone
2LW: Wildschut, Buckley,
3ST: Magennis, Donaldson, ALF,

2 year deal for the 6ft 2in, 28-year-old centre mid released by Nasty Leeds so a free!.
160 Championship games 9 goals and 8 assists.
149 games as centre mid and 40 games as DM so just what the doctor ordered.
Love it! Get in!

Most importantly he's not an over the hill crock that turns slower than the Titanic (Ireland, Hobbs, Gary O'Neil)
Or a lightweight midget (Ozzy, Pritchard, Chiori...)

5 years younger is the key. Got resale value.officer_dibble wrote: ↑Thu Aug 02, 2018 8:41 amScapegoat by some Leeds fans

And Pratley, Henry, Derik, Kirchoff, Karacan all needed replacing...
A huge hole in our depth chart, if not filled at least addressed.

With 35-year-old Gary O'Neill the other option...
I'd take 28-year-old Pratley on a free...

Was a good player up until a couple of years ago when he seems to have lost his way. Leeds fans were pleased he signed a new deal a while ago and they don't seem to dislike the lad now. He's free, so worth a try. Was certainly a decent player at Crewe.

What sort of player would you say we're getting Ghost.GhostoftheBok wrote: ↑Thu Aug 02, 2018 10:26 amWas a good player up until a couple of years ago when he seems to have lost his way. Box to box? Does he tackle? Header?
In his goal highlights he comes from deep or cracks it long.
Will he play with Lowe in the 4--2-3-1?

Re: Reconstruction time again: the summer 2018 transfer thread
Have we even signed him?
I don't want to imply that the LOV is a waste of space run by simpletons in their mum's garage and that I wouldnt trust them to tell the time, but, is there anything a bit more official?

Iles says he is signing. Nothing official. Though we are told by LA that there will be announcements today.

Re: Reconstruction time again: the summer 2018 transfer thread
Your basic central mid, but a bit timid in the tackle, as I recall. Bit of technique, bit of passing and the odd goal. At Crewe he looked like a quality string-puller from deep in midfield and a lad who could get you a goal with a good run. Another I've not seen much of recently. Others will know better.

Re: Reconstruction time again: the summer 2018 transfer thread
Also being reported here (Yorkshire) that he agreed to be released by Leeds without any of his contractual bonuses, because he'd got a contract offer here. Apparently he also took a pay cut when signing a new deal due to the club's finances and Leeds fans respect him for that. Not a player driven by money, seemingly.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Thu Aug 02, 2018 10:49 amIles says he is signing. Nothing official. Though we are told by LA that there will be announcements today.

And done.
No idea what he's like, but we were desperate for another midfield player. Still need one more IMO.

So we see why Ken is keen. His kind of player! Free doesn't need bonuses, not fussed when he gets paid...GhostoftheBok wrote: ↑Thu Aug 02, 2018 10:51 amAlso being reported here (Yorkshire) that he agreed to be released by Leeds without any of his contractual bonuses, because he'd got a contract offer here. Re: Reconstruction time again: the summer 2018 transfer thread
Manager Phil Parkinson added: “We are pleased with the signing of Luke. He’s a player with plenty of Championship experience and we are looking forward to working with him.”
Seems a bit weak, has Parky been saddled with a bargain he didn't want?
