PP out. I’m done, at least in the immediate aftermath of another abject performance. I never like to see a Bolton manager get the sack when I actually like and respect the geezer but … Wednesday were there for the taking in that first half but PP didn’t know how to (or just didn’t want to) take it to them. No urgency yet again, no aggression, no desire and no invention. We typically only show any of those things when we go a goal down - even at home. It’s repetitive, it’s annoying - it’s shit.

You live and die by your decisions, and the decision to let ALF go and have a barbie on the beach mid-contract was such a shite decision that it really does beggar belief. I don’t give a feck if he wanted to go and chase some sun, he doesn’t strike me as the type to go on strike because he wasn’t allowed to leave. Jesus Christ. Especially when you watch in horror as a 37 year old journeyman - who hasn’t hit the target since he’s been here - scoops your best chance over from a couple of yards out with a horrible miscue.

Not for the first time, we've let a team who on the night were no better than us, if not arguably worse, leave with the points. The effort's still there, but we can't win on effort alone. Tragic. Really, really tragic.

Whether you meant it or not, your phrasing is instructive. We did let them. We're too submissive, too weak until it's too late. That's the problem.

12 goals in 19 games. 6 goals in our last 15 games. One speculative Ameobi 30 yard strike on target today, no attacking intent.

Teams are just putting all their attacking players on the pitch against us, because they know we carry no threat. You can't just go out on the pitch to defend, contain and hope for the best. We aren't the best quality wise, but we aren't the worst either. Not acceptable.

Beaten before we get out on the pitch, whatever team he picks. If he isn’t sacked we will finish with a similar tally to the last time we were relegated. Parky has more records in his sights!

It is worse than last season going forward. At least we seemed to have a plan play long 50 yard balls to Madine and play off him. Be aggressive and attack set pieces. What is the plan now? We sometimes play it long to Magennis, but we aren't looking for flick ons. We don't even get players around him, he is often completely isolated. Our set pieces are listless. There is just no attacking plan at all.

From an Iles piece in todays BN.....All around the Championship, bigger budgets and coaching set-ups often see specialist striker coaches brought in to work with the front men. It is not an idea which particularly appeals to Parkinson, who reckons there is enough expertise in his team to guide the players through their current problems.

“It isn’t something we have looked at, we’ve got myself, Steve (Parkin) and Julian Darby and we’re working hard with the players. It isn’t a budget thing – it’s just not for us.”

Ta Blu.
Well yeah but it wont, so now what (apart from getting relly'd)?
Maybe it's all some gentlemen's agreement forged 5m before end of the last game of last season:
"as long as we're in this league you'll be our manager Phil" [signed in blood, sworn on Kenneth's oldest's fetid last breath]

Insano's gone a bit quiet recently n'all :)

No, I meant it. We've let them because, despite all the good we did in stopping them from playing and then spending periods in possession further upfield, we didn't have the quality to create anything. We're set up fairly well and rarely get turned over as a result but if we can't hit the back of the net then clearly all that counts for naught. It's not really a matter of mentality as much as it is ability, and we're just shit.

He's not perfect and he makes mistakes but we have bigger problems than the manager. We've been masquerading as a second-tier outfit for a season and a half and now that the general standard of the league has risen we're being found out for the frauds that we are. We need a proper owner who can financially back us, or one who can at least financially maintain us, and quick. Without one, well get relegated soon enough no matter who's sat in the dugout.

I think everybody else has pretty much agreed. I know most of us take a black and white view of stuff and we all simplify things in all sorts of areas of our life, but honestly, truly, that game can be summed up by one word and one word alone: Dire. Sheffield Wednesday were dire, we were dire, all the players were dire, the tactics were dire, the strategy was dire, the entertainment quotient was dire, even the fxckin pie I had at half time was dire.

The only good bit was that I went with a mate from work who found a really nice old fashioned pub called the Red Deer near the city centre.
That's not a leopard!

I'm quiet because this sums it up. We lack quality in and around the final third.

It is no coincidence our good spells have come when strikers have been on good runs of form, Magennis, Madine etc...

The issue is that its hard to see any of our strikers doing the overall job required and banging in goals. And the rest of the team doesn't have enough goals in it - same as last season.

Yep, I guess it's the resignation that's in many ways the killer here.
Such apathy is often terminal, and if it's bad on here, imagine the vibe in the club/ behind closed doors (toxic presumably).

Well, if nothing else us, and all other forums & fans are brought together once more through our mutual disgust and loathing.

Sack the board! (oh wait, there ain't none)

Sad days (are here again).
"Oh lord, how long?"

Am I the only one now wondering whether it would have actually been better to have gone belly-up a few months ago.
How other do we get a 'clean start' (I don't believe in de sanity clause/gazillionaires)...

If you really want cheering up look who is playing at the Reynolds Arena in darlington now. That’s what can happen if you go under.

Some times I think that the administration maybe good for us when I see a f****g coward like Ken don,t want to put a penny in a club we all here for because we love Bolton it is make us like a family but he doesn't care about it even when we are going to administration who helped and saved us Eddie Davies not Ken Anderson , look Ken make a good job financially for Bolton but this is not enough you need to make a big decision like change the manager , not support him till some magic happen . We need a change .
