A New Year's Hullalabloo(sorry) ...Hull v Bolton New Years Day, 3-0'clock.

Can we be hidden dragons again, start 2019 off with a bang and sneak a wonder win down at (to give its full title) Kingston upon Hull tomorrow in front of the Yorkies ? On the back of four points from two games, are we up for it?

During our long bad run I've been minimising my exposure to Championship results, highlights &c, just watching our latest pitiful performance before speeding off to find something, anything, better to do. So when I popped my head above the virtual parapet post-Rotherham I was surprised to find the Tigers, who last time I looked had seemed almost as doomed as us and Ipswich, had scampered towards the mid-table horizon. Indeed, they're the tier's top team on last-six form (W5 D1), fourth over the last 10 games (W6 D3 L1 - only bettered by Norwich, Leeds and West Brom).

That said, they seem to slightly prefer away to home, which often makes sense in this sort of situation. Hopefully we can get back to doing something similar, in that we can grab away points as well as asking more questions when we're the host.

As it is, I think this will be a poor and cagey game, but if we get a point or three it'll be worth it.

Happy New Year all, here's hoping for the best for our club. Many different places we could be in a year's time, and I don't just mean divisionally. And all the best to all TWers.

Nothing to gain by losing and not that much by drawing, we need the win. We have to hope other results go our way. All those below/level with us are at home today.
Ipswich and Milwall play each other, so one of them is going to get 3 points or they'll get one each. Either way, not good. We have to hope Swansea beat Reading and Preston beat Rotherham. Still a very iffy situation. We really need that win.....

COME ON YOU WHITES.....

I'm really not hopeful today. A place we haven't performed that well at over the years, if you disregard THAT night.

Just walked the cobwebs and last night's excess off and I'm there in spirit. Cmon lads

Duties done, dog walked, brew made and a couple of practise free kicks done with the dog's ball. All set then (when Tower decide to stop playing crap songs and finally get to football. Modern pop music does my head in )...waiting impatiently.....

Mention of the Black Pudding boys (of course) from mic man, then a few adverts all ending "Just/only £99, 399, 5pp etc".... and then...football.

Some mumbled commentary, one of those rubbish tannoys and....we're away, of sorts...

Terrible reception from Hull, absolutely awful, technical issues...apparently....I think they've kicked off..all I can hear is crowd.....apologies being issued, and some mic chat about social media. This is awful. No idea what's happening?

Sounds like a fair bit of to and fro and we just had an attack (apparently) more aplologies and the score is 0-0.The year is 2019, as of today, men have walked the moon
and our technical wonders can't manage a football commentary. Now we're having music...

It's a conspiracy, must be. Keep Radio Tango away from the game. I can hardly believe how bad this is from Tower.

We've been bright the first 20 minutes. No end product as per usual.

The defending has been comical at times with last ditch diving tackles.

We're one down in the 29th minute+ via Grosicki. Could have done without that news.
