Hoboh won't like that - his welding kit won't work.TANGODANCER wrote: ↑Sun Mar 18, 2018 11:01 amStill getting drifting snowflakes here right this minute and a dusting of snow, but nothing more than that. It's the wind that's the real villain. Uterly bitter slicing strong howling wind in the minuses that freezes bollox on stone lions. Not fun at all.

Re: The Weather
If you want fun trying walking to Three Shires Head near the Cat and Fiddle (if you can even get a car anywhere close to exit and start the walk in, in the first place).
Last time I experienced weather like this was on a mountain in Alaska.

Bit wild out there today
70mph winds in the village and that's not the top of the glen either. I've got pavement signs down the road and my bins have ended up in the farmers field

Not really. Just had to go out to the van and there is a river running past the door. It was dark so didn't see it until I stepped in itLost Leopard Spot wrote: ↑Fri Dec 07, 2018 3:06 pmI get fxcking drenched on Wednesday, if that makes you feel any better.

Bin day was yesteday in our area; they're all safely back in slot. It's the fences I'm worried about and hoping the wind doesn't get worse, and it's pxssing down again. Back garden is like a big sponge right now.Abdoulaye's Twin wrote: ↑Sat Dec 08, 2018 7:55 amAye, though I can't say ivoe had to send a search party out to find my bins before

Ha! Are you in London? Has it dropped below 10 degrees? You might even see ice by the time February rolls around ..

I had to take my shorts off and put trousers on this morning. I mean, what kind of idiot would try scraping frost off the windscreen in shorts!Lost Leopard Spot wrote: ↑Thu Dec 13, 2018 1:53 pmHa! It's Kent by the way. Sounds about right though.
As for you, Monty, you could choose to live in a more temperate climate. It's not like there's some law against leaving the liberal democracy that is Canada. I hear tell it's nice and warm in Saudi just now.

Re: The Weather
Indeed! I was in China in October but fortunately left before all this business. Not that grabbing me would have put much pressure on our government. You can keep him they'd say - his useful working days are over and he's just a drain on the system. I don't mind the winter - lots of skiing of both types, skating and warm fires. Plus it is an excuse to go to the Caribbean for a week each year. Yeah, man!Enoch wrote: ↑Thu Dec 13, 2018 7:33 pmThey're also in the business of hoovering up any Canadians fool enough to hang around there just now.Lost Leopard Spot wrote: ↑Thu Dec 13, 2018 3:52 pmChina. Re: The Weather
It's snowing. Just drifting flakes right now and it'll probably just pass over, but the weather forecast was uncannily accurate, to the hour in fact.

Re: The Weather
I hate to tell you this Tango, but when you access a modern app on your phone, it accesses all your history, shopping, and geolocation data and decides what is the best weather to get you to buy, for example, a new woolly hat. It then gives you a few targeted ads, and sends out a drone to drop snow overhead at the precise moment it 'predicted'.TANGODANCER wrote: ↑Fri Jan 18, 2019 12:56 pmIt's snowing. Snow is a modern con inflicted on us by Big Business.
