Yes. But tbh it's all doom and gloom on that front as well at the moment. We're as good as relegated. Not much else to say until August lol

Narr man, new owners will be minted - we’ll be shopping for a new manager, coaching staff and some journeyman pros to help us piss league one! Give us plenty to talk about!

Anyone know why we owe west church homes cash? Normally house builders buy land and owe the money, not the other way round?

Someone I know who definitely 100% knows these things also confirmed to me that as of Tuesday morning the plan was not to contest in court.Lost Leopard Spot wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2019 7:24 pmFFS!Jim_McDonuts wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2019 7:13 pmShould defo have closed this thread - all gone well weird (not you knobby:)
anyhow, latest from other site:
up until last night Kenneth had no representation
was going to let the club go into liquidation (uncontested) to hope/force a sale in 7 days
he's such a knut -- & fine role model to our children
(take all above with whatever pinch you require)
You don't get a barrister to turn up with less than 12 hours notice!!!
In fact try getting a barrister for next week!
I'm not talking about making you a latte either...
So I have no idea about that dude on Wways I suspect its a lot of baloney, but I 100% trust the person who told me yesterday that the plan only changed very late on Tuesday....

Agreed although previous ownership also left club facing winding up orders in court across several appearances...Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2019 5:21 pmYou didn't mention the staff of our club who went unpaid for weeks.Lost Leopard Spot wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2019 5:11 pmThe players don't give a fxck - they are all under the illusion they are the next Messi or Bale. They'll get their wages whatever.
The police who are obliged to attend are doing their job. They are also obliged to attend terrorist massacres in Manchester concert venues. They don't complain about either.
St. John's Ambulance turn up to Ashbourne Shrovetide Football - they're not there to make money.
Basically, I don't get your point...
My simple point is that Ken Anderson is bad for our football club. He's a colossal embarrassment. Given that our great club was today taken by a branch of government to the High Court, it's hardly hyperbole to say his actions have verged on the criminal. He has brought shame upon our club. I can cope with him not being rich enough to run the club, but I'm utterly sick of his moral bankruptcy, and by association that of those who might defend him.
Of course, you may have whatever opinion of him you choose, and I will defend your right to have it, even if I may have to withdraw from further discussion on it. Think what you want of him. Me, I can't wait to get him out of our club.
I'm not sure I'd go as far as criminal. Morally and ethically bankrupt - YES!

But having some exposure to instructing barristers - you don’t get one at 24 hours notice...
Whether Hilary was provisionally booked (or would have attended even if not to contest) I don’t know.

I don't know. Perhaps they were just lucky. Perhaps they have her on a retainer.officer_dibble wrote: ↑Thu Mar 21, 2019 9:02 amI hear you...BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Thu Mar 21, 2019 8:43 amSomeone I know who definitely 100% knows these things also confirmed to me that as of Tuesday morning the plan was not to contest in court.Lost Leopard Spot wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2019 7:24 pmFFS!Jim_McDonuts wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2019 7:13 pmShould defo have closed this thread - all gone well weird (not you knobby:)

In amongst all the "stuff", I spotted a tweet from someone who I think was actually in the Court Room suggesting Hilary had said she hadn't actually "seen" any documentation that had supposedly been drawn up the previous night and that it's validity wasn't tested by the Court...

Nixon - mystery buyer is real and has shown proof of funds. Up to whether they can agree all the details now. Two others waiting in wings if it falls through.

If this carries on it wont be long until HMRC are listed as our main rivals on Wikipedia...
How many times have we 'played' them over the last few years?
Also, I've become addicted to Alan Nixon's twitter feed. The sorriest side effect of a very sorry situation.

Sorry, not at the moment. Although I know James, I don't work *at* FFT any more –although I'm supposed to be seeing him soon to discuss stuff I may being doing *for* them. (I still write pieces for them - like a lot of this week's "stuff we hate about modern football". It's just words in a line.)
Not today though, I'm too busy doing that "writing" thing - and as I'm on my own clock today rather than someone else's, I'm minimising distractions. (Having a quick peep at TW with my double-pastie lunch #freelance)

We can all live it if we dream hard enough.
And as I bought four for £1.75 from Tesco, I might live it again tomorrow.

As I said, blank piece paper ... Judge has to decide whether he wants a quiet life or be destroyed on the infamy of one decision. How hard is it to defer it... Just look at fxcking Brexit.Jim_McDonuts wrote: ↑Thu Mar 21, 2019 9:56 amwowWorthy4England wrote: ↑Thu Mar 21, 2019 9:44 amIn amongst all the "stuff", I spotted a tweet from someone who I think was actually in the Court Room suggesting Hilary had said she hadn't actually "seen" any documentation that had supposedly been drawn up the previous night and that it's validity wasn't tested by the Court...
