Hidden, who me?

If you have a life outside of BWFC, then this is the place to tell us all about your toilet habits, and those bizarre fetishes.......

Since you've asked the question, however, you do appear to be hidden.
So far BWFCi, you, and (unfortunately) Dave Sutton's Barnett.

Those who aren't include -
DJBlu
TANGODANCER
Abdoulaye's Twin
officer_dibble
Bristol_Wanderer3
jmjhb
truewhite15
Jim_McDonuts
Harry Genshaw
Prufrock
Whookam
nelson66
malcd1
LHwhite
RusholmeRuffian
The_Gun
dave the minion
maltesewanderer
nicholado
bedwetter2
Leyther71
Oh dear! I appear to be among the hidden although my name appears at the bottom in italics. Mind you I can see why people might wish to remain hidden - for example in case they are on TW at work and the boss is also a member. However, I have no such reason and didn't think I was hidden. Or has Prufrock muted me?

Why?
As I said those who aren't INCLUDE. Inclusion doesn't represent exclusion.

Where are you all looking? The only thing I can see is: Users browsing this forum: malcd1 and 4 guests.

Is that because I haven't hidden anyone or no one hidden me?

OK let me reset this 'discussion'.
When you sign in you are either open or hidden. It's an option for you to set being Hidden. It doesn't happen by accident.
When you look at the bottom of a page it tells you:
X registered, y hidden and z guests.

(Prufrock's point about being on ignore is a new parameter I have no idea about...)

My question still is, Why Are You Hidden?

Folk are hidden because they want to be. They don't have to appear online if they don't want to.

Me, I'm hidden because I was told to be by Bench about 12 years back for reasons which escape me now and I just can't be arsed changing back.

But... But but. You still appear when you post.
I can see why Moderators might be hidden, however. That's a different kettle of fish!

Yes, Tango.
There is a choice.

The default is Unhidden. Which means that those who are hidden have deliberately made that choice.
So... My question is why anyone would want to exercise the choice of being Hidden?

Why does anything matter?
I was annoyed that whenever I answered a rebuttal there were specific people who interfered without me knowing they were there. If I'm going to have to argue on more than one front, it's helpful and courteous to be able to do that in an open environment.
So why does it matter to you, that it matters to me?
Especially given the fact you appear to be one of the hidden...

Am I? That’s news to me. Thanks for letting me know. I was just interested why being ‘hidden’ was such an issue for people as it’s something I’d rarely given much thought to. Thanks for clarifying.

It isn't. Merely for one person.
