Thieves, crooks and Villains. Aston Villa (H) 19.4.19
Amidst all the excitement of the takeover, anyone remember we have a game tomorrow?
5000 Villa fans coming over to watch their side extend their good run and finally finish us off, or;
A new dawn at BWFC and on a wave of optimism we score early and defend like beavers in a glorious 1 goal win.
After yesterday I'm almost expecting to hear the announcer say "Making his debut at number 9. Laurence Bassini"

Villa break a club record of wins on the bounce if they win. We are down. It’s usually games like this that throw up oddities. I don’t see it though - who scores the goals for us?
Can’t see anything other than a defeat by at least 3 goals.

Absolute shellacking. Villa are the best team in the division with Grealish back.

Interesting. I'd say that Norwich are by far the best side I've seen this season. They remind me of Wolves last season, in that I expect Norwich to do well in the Prem next season.
That aside though, yes, an absolute dicking. Us to do OK until the first one goes in then total capitulation. 0-4, maybe even 0-5.
May the bridges I burn light your way

^ I'd agree with that. Norwich were on a different level to everyone else I've seen in that home game. That said I'm interested to see Villa now they're free from Mrs Doubtfires cautious shackles. By all accounts they're playing some good stuff.
Grealish and Abraham will both be plying their trade in the Premier league next year. 0-3

Did you just wish on a falling star TANGO? Or perhaps you laid out three dishes for Alfie to see which he ate (not approach) first? Maybe you took him on a walk up Winter Hill and became dizzy with the view and a touch of agoraphobia?
I am resigned to League 1 next year, although I would like us to go down fighting.

Impressed with a few of the AVFC fans on twitter - being very respectful of our glorious old lady BWFC (& who deserves to be treated with far more care than she has).
Basically saying, and I paraphrase: 'yes of course we'll win but lets not rub their faces in it (they've got enough shit on as it is:)'

The most likely is an own goal. Their goalkeeper kicks the ball out, hits the back of the head of a defender, hits a divot and trickles over the line. Highly unlikely, but considerably greater odds than any of our lot managing itofficer_dibble wrote: ↑Thu Apr 18, 2019 8:46 amVilla break a club record of wins on the bounce if they win. We are down. Brockbank, Connelly, Luca Connell, Williams - youthful side, apart from all the old blokes...

I don't understand why Donaldson keeps getting selected. More so now. We're down anyway. I would be astonished if he gets a new deal. So why can't we try somebody else, something different?

To select anything less than our strongest side against Villa is really pushing a stick through the bars of a tiger cage. Surprised? Hey, come on, we're Bolton fans....COME ON YOU WHITES...

What exactly is our strongest side? We can only select people who are slightly less shit than all the other crap that's available...TANGODANCER wrote: ↑Fri Apr 19, 2019 2:44 pmTo select anything less than our strongest side against Villa is really pushing a stick through the bars of a tiger cage. Pick the bones out of that - AFAIK Brockbank is a centre-back, so unless we're easing him in at RB, is Hobbs playing on the right? Or a back three, in which case, who's WBs?

Brockbank was on the right of a back four in the pre-match warm-up. My best guess is that it's a 4-2-3-1 with Williams behind Donaldson and O'Neill on the right.
