Red Hats and One-eyed Snakes - the ups and downs of new management.

In his interview of Maunday Thursday he only admitted to filling in the form, not to actually sending it off to the EFL. Maybe the serioursness of it all is sinking in and he is as likely to huy the club as fly to the moon. Is the £20 million he has to invest before paying off debtors or after?

"In a brief conversation with the Guardian on Thursday, Bassini said he was “sitting on £20m cash” to save Bolton."
I'd be interested to know whether he's sat on it indoors or outdoors. And in what denomination? Imagine if it was 50p pieces (10 shillings to you, Enoch ).

Baz the bellend will undoubtedly make
both Kenny and HMRC their cash to take.
As well as paying wages.

The longer it goes on the more doubt there must be that Baz has the cash at all.

I've never doubted he hasn't got the cash. He might be fronting the Regional Threeteeth Jampath for all I know, but him! Cash. However, I thought the holdup was the EFL going through his credentials with a fine tooth comb, or at the very least asking anybody if they know of any reason why he should not own a football club or forever hold their peace...

Has he definitely sent the form off? Did he put a stamp on it?Lost Leopard Spot wrote: ↑Thu Apr 25, 2019 3:26 pmHowever, I thought the holdup was the EFL going through his credentials with a fine tooth comb, or at the very least asking anybody if they know of any reason why he should not own a football club or forever hold their peace...
No, seriously, has he unequivocally said he's done the test and is awaiting the EFL's response?
And aren't they waiting for him (or anyone) to pay the f*cking players?

Why pay the players when you might be owner non grata? Surely you'd be waiting to be "allowed" to be an owner before shelling out?Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Thu Apr 25, 2019 3:40 pmHas he definitely sent the form off? I blame the EFL for the current impasse.
PS even though it was the EFL that got us through the last round o'bollocks intact.

I just recall something from around the time of Baz's announcement that ownership was contingent on payment. Maybe it was merely coincidental - "he's buying the club and will pay the wages" - but ISTR reading it was more if:then than that.

in his interview on 17th with SSN, he said he'd "filled in the form" for the fit and proper person test and "obviously the form will go forward to the EFL" - but didn't sound like it had actually done the "going" bit at that point.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Thu Apr 25, 2019 3:40 pmHas he definitely sent the form off? Ta. I suspect (for as long as it lasts) this is what life under Bassini is like: guessing at half-truths.Worthy4England wrote: ↑Thu Apr 25, 2019 3:58 pmin his interview on 17th with SSN, he said he'd "filled in the form" for the fit and proper person test and "obviously the form will go forward to the EFL" - but didn't sound like it had actually done the "going" bit at that point.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Thu Apr 25, 2019 3:40 pmHas he definitely sent the form off? We are, I suspect, still under Ken Young-one. He's just gone quiet though, like Red October slicing silently through the waves before his devestating strike...Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Thu Apr 25, 2019 4:00 pmTa. That's interesting - Burnden Leisure is a Limited Company - and as such I don't think it needs the League's permission to be sold. The League could of course prevent the football club playing in the League - but I don't think they have a say on whether it can be sold or not (legally). So in effect, they might be sat on a fait accompli, if as has been described "on the record", it's now completed as a transaction...

From today's BN:
The Bolton Wanderers Supporters' Trust also updated its members about a meeting with Bassini at the Blackburn Rovers game at Ewood Park on Easter Monday.
"Our meeting with Mr Bassini was constructive in terms of opening dialogue and starting to build a relationship," as statement read.
"The discussions echoed much of what he has already said in interviews he has given to the media recently.
"The worry though still seems to be that he is not fully aware of the level of debt involved but made assurances that he will find whatever funds are necessary.

They can't stop it being sold, but they can stop it competing in the league under the new owner. That's what happened to Leeds under Cellini, I think.Worthy4England wrote: ↑Thu Apr 25, 2019 4:21 pmThat's interesting - Burnden Leisure is a Limited Company - and as such I don't think it needs the League's permission to be sold. Which would then be very interesting, because you'd have a club whose value is very different to a buyer than to the seller. A bit like the car of someone who's received a driving ban.

SSN reporting Bassini interview where he says people will be paid to night, but he's in dispute with Anderson over the sale...
