Administration and recovery

Post by bristol_Wanderer3 » Wed May 15, 2019 10:21 am

The administrators are in the building, seems like a new thread is appropriate. Not what anyone would have wanted, lets hope this is the beginning of a recovery from the trauma of the KA period, particularly the last twelve months of it.

The line about a team of 10 accountants assessing the financial position of the club and BL is interesting. This is not normal for administration. The process is, but not 10 accountants. Wonder if they expect to find some ermmm...."interesting things" lurking in there.

Or whether they've just been tipped off by Fildraw that co-operation with KA/PA is not going to happen so they'll have to do it all themselves....

I'd rather have 10 accountants taking two weeks each than two accountants taking 10 weeks each.

(Yes, I know it might take longer than two weeks.)

Interesting to see this: I've never heard of an administrator having a PR man. Maybe that's not the official title. Certainly the outreach is welcome, if only as a water-tester.

The fact a team of 10 is in there might be a good sign that they are trying to move quickly. Or might be that they expect significant issue with piecing the information together.

Either way its good news because ultimately nothing can happen until they have the full financial picture and as you say however long it takes a team of 10 doing it is better than one bloke.....

It is pretty clear that the harder propective buyers dig the more debt is uncovered. I suspect it will be harder than a normal company to find out how much we owe to debtors especially as the man in charge has hardly been around for months and his deputy has left the building at such a convenient time.

The administrators will have a duty of care to provide a full picture that perhaps KA may not.

He packed up his office a couple of weeks back. Whether he's still working on behalf of one of the businesses/Anderson, dunno.

Some people say Aldridge was trying to do right by the club....others say he was a complete wanker...

Know very little about him. However on the basis that he is a close associate of Ken Anderson's, when presumably a man of his background could earn a decent crust elsewhere, I'm going for 'complete wanker'.

Jesus Christ... And one wonders why some innocent people get burnt to death on the steps of a Mexican police station by an angry mob?

Slightly odd comparison.

Sorry. Stressed. But, nevertheless, condemning people you don't know for things you have no idea about does kinda lead to that sort of comparison...

I think the next court appearance is in three weeks, so the admins will need to demonstrate they have some serious bidders by that point. I imagine.
