Niki Lauda. What a life story. In a sanitised modern media environment I always liked that he could be relied on to say what he thought, too.

Course I'd buy you a pint you daft tw*t. Might be a reactionary bell-end, but you're a wanderer.

I prefer it when people say what they think. I also prefer it when what people think isn't bollocks.

Murray Gell-Mann.
Biggest fxcking dipstick ever to be called a genius. He wasn't. He wasn't even very clever, but he was brilliant at specific moments, some of which altered physics as we know it.

As a Bolton lad I'm ashamed to say I've never been in ye olde pastie shoppe  . When I worked in the town centre for a brief spell the massive queue always put me off. They're obviously very good but I couldn't face wasting half of my break queuing!

Really sad to hear this earlier. He was never a consistent part of the team for us for any length of time but scored several vital goals at an important time in our history. Many happy memories. :(

Ah, gotcha. Name only I'm afraid as my music tastes are wide and numerous. Can't like em all. Sad to see so many of the old names packing their tambourines away.

Leyton Orient manager Justin Edinburgh has died aged 49 after suffering a cardiac arrest. No age especially for someone who has looked after himself most of his life.

Aye, I read this very sadly. I lived in Howfen for ten years and heard Tony sing impromptu many a night in the Red Lion. Had this habit when singing of always having his hands behind his back or in the back pockets of his jeans. Great bloke and a terrific singer. R.I.P.

Very sad. Saw him at an Xmas show last year and whilst he didn't look well then, he soldiered on and gave a great performance and a fantastic show, testament of the man.
