Will the sun ever rise on the Brittas Empire?

Post by Lost Leopard Spot » Thu Jun 13, 2019 6:53 pm

I've opened this thread as a favour to Senor Domingos. The weight of two years of ownership has crippled him.
If both Iles and the Times are proclaiming it, it must be true.
Welcome to our new overlords - Football Ventures (Whites), or is that Future Versions (Whites); take me to your leaders: Basran, Brittan, James and Thomas. May ye have cash to spread like muck...

Cheers, mate. Suddenly, a weight is lifted from my shoulders.

By all accounts, this thread has at least two years in it. As of today, we are in Div One with minus 12 points and an unknown penalty yet to come for failing to play Brentford (elsewhere, I've predicted the outcome will be an award of plus one point). I will look back in two years' time and think, "That was a dark period. Who'd have thought we'd have been promoted to the Prem with 100 points and 100 goals less than twenty four months later?" Probably.

:D or alternatively we'll be saying "Do you remember the Ken years? They were great weren't they?" as Macclesfield knock in a 4th before half time 24 months later
"Get your feet off the furniture you Oxbridge tw*t. You're not on a feckin punt now you know"

When is Queen Shazza I getting coronated?
You'd have thought the Admin Archbishop would have at least gotten himself a thimbleful of annointing oil.

Another 48 hours? Or have the wheels dropped off before the engine was turned over?

From what I understand from one of the "to be" directors (via a mate) - everything was still looking fine at 09:50 yesterday. Can't speak for "since then" obvs.

It wouldn't take long - he doesn't strike me as the type to go to ground... just follow the incessant honking and parping...

Well my fear isn't that Bassini is involved (coz he isn't - he's just a tw@t). My fear is that Shazza&Co isn't as up front as everybody is hoping for...
So instead of getting the full seven-sticklebackssini, you get a meagre three-point-sticklebackshazza.

I've absolutely no evidence for it, but I reckon today will be the day the new owners are officially announced.

But they said next week. I can't remember where they said it, but said it was by somebody.

Joint administrator Paul Appleton did indeed say next week, but about completion rather than Heads of Terms, identity revelation, open-top bus etc.

https://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/1 ... ws-closer/
We are very close to finalising the Heads of Terms agreement and are working towards a completion date of next week.
I mean, you could argue that Appleton is saying both HoT and completion next week, but I think not. Even so, no stunning shock if it drags on further.
