Cemetery Road? Not on our shift...Rochdale away Int Cup, 7-45 Tues 13-Aug.

Where fellow sufferers gather to share the pain, longing and unrequited transfer requests that make being a Wanderer what it is...

Ah well, we need to dream; it's all that keeps us going. Any chance of a match report?

5-2

So having the seniors back seems to have helped loads.

Team might have taken a tonking but we'll never know.

This,

The lad is a decent defender. I can only think it's cause we need him at the weekend.

Christ I hope the judge tells Bassini to feck off tomorrow. Need some players inbound.

A good first 20 minutes and still so refreshing to see the likes of Darcy, Politic and Brown running at defences.

Since the penalty they've dominated and like our last two games it seems like only a matter of time before the opposition score.

No boos for the strikers thankfully and a healthy Wanderers following. Unfortunately we've ended up sat near the MENSA travel club

Hope he wasn’t injured.

The court case is massive tomorrow. Any kind of adjournment or victory of sorts for Bassini that puts the brakes on this takeover and we are screwed. It was nice to think about football for 90 minutes.

I hope that wanker Bassini gets run over.

Full of admiration for the efforts and set backs we're suffering, but, nevertheless, 5-2 is not so hot, is it? . There are lessons to be learned from this. Great defending is not a game plan; great scoring is. Tonight isn't that important and I don't think anybody expected a win, but.....being penned in our own half and bombarded is as much a part of Bolton as the Town Hall Lions or Carr's Pasties. We're in this division because of it and if we don't learn to play attacking football we'll be in Division 2 next season. It was Rochdale! .....Forget all the why's and wherefore's ( we have to presume we'll still have a club) and see the plain unvarnished truth. We ain't good enough because we spend too much time in the sheep pen and not attacking. I reckon just about every team in every division know it.

Edwards and Politic injured.

How’s that saying go? If it wasn’t for bad luck we’d have no luck.

So, absolutely no doubting these boys magnificent effort, but their lack of experience is there for all to see; poor decision making, turning the way that the opponent hoped they might, that sort of thing. So you'd perhaps hope that a couple of our senior players could have stepped up to the plate here, but no. Jason Lowe started off quite well but quickly faded, as for Luke Murphy? I swear to you we played with 10 men tonight; absolutely anonymous. We desperately need Gary O'Neil back in there.
Losing Edwards in defence was huge, and losing the live-wire Politic left us clueless going forward. Brockbank and especially Zouma need picking out for praise.
What happened was that when Dale ran at us we bunched too deep in and around the edge of our box, giving their players time and space to pick their spots; a couple of their finishes were excellent. n
Talking of kids, what an utterly embarrassing, pathetic bunch of Stone Island clad 4uckwits we have amongst our number.
May the bridges I burn light your way

Taking the positives, we have made progress in each game - first time on the pitch, first clean sheet, first goals... And this season we will have more bright young sparks in our team than ever before, building well for the future. I'd like to see Edwards, Brockbank, Politic, Zouma and Darcy feature week in week out. We need 5 or 6 good seniors to go with them, but we are at an exciting starting point. Just wish we could have been at this point a month or so ago.
