I've no idea. I'm referring to today's statement and the decision to publish the postponement on social media before discussing it with the EFL and Doncaster. I’m guessing that the other seniors won’t hang around much longer now.

I’m slowly moving towards the opinion that buying the clubs only a one horse race cos of how they have behaved in all this. Same people who sold Coventry back to the people who put them in admin?Harry Genshaw wrote: ↑Wed Aug 21, 2019 7:49 pmAgreed. Re: Parkinson Leaves
So, my concern now is to what made him jump at this particular time, after all he's endured?
Offer from a stable club where he'll get paid?
He knows summat we don't and now has no faith in the FV takeover going through?
He thinks Bassini's coming in and he's therefor getting sacked anyway?

Must stress that Phil Parkinson and Steve Parkin put in their resignation before the Tranmere game. It isn't a reaction to anything takeover-wise. In fact, Phil was talking positively about it earlier. #bwfc
I think it’s a reaction btw! Told in the summer takeover happening - have some frees lined up - well sort some loaners etc. This weekend / feck all happening after court case despite being told it can / Kamanis get hotel / FV exit stage left. Get yourself on holiday lads.

Re: Parkinson Leaves
I think personally that he realised that with no further seniors coming in before the window closes he was going to be left in the insidious position of having to play the kiddies for another forty five matches and couldn't really see himself building up a lather every other Tuesday when the League insisted he picked a side of U23s for their third match in a week, whilst still being depressed over the last seven nil thrashing he'd got on the Saturday, and a week of trying to get the kids to stand still in training while they practiced hoofing the ball upfield and not running around like demented flies trying to pass to each other.

It was quoted at the end of the Bolton News article. Don't think there was anything on Club website

Re: Parkinson Leaves
They are busily amending it to read: Parky & Parkin have resigned. We will consider this imminently and release a statement soon. All parties are working to resolve this quickly and believe that a denouement is close.LeverEnd wrote: ↑Wed Aug 21, 2019 8:41 pmI can't find it. Re: Parkinson Leaves
I agree with others that he was the best manager we've had since Allardyce, even if that isn't saying a lot.
Still, even though I disagreed - vehemently at times - with his playing style and tactics, I have to give credit where it's due. He took us up, kept us up and seems like an all-round decent bloke. Shame it's ended this way, and while it feels as though we've lost the only thing keeping shit together at the moment, it could be a pivotal moment going forward if we manage to sort this mess out and bring in a progressive manager. Who really knows though ...

Not my cup of tea but unlike some other managerial departures I wouldn't throw a party hope he gets sorted soon.

Re: Parkinson Leaves
All the best Phil. I hope you have something lined up. You were the sacrificial lamb under Ken and I was disappointed that you allowed yourself to be in that position by that horrible man. Never liked your style of football but respected your recent "balls" given your pronouncements about the "going ons" at the club. You clearly knew you were leaving.
We need a clean slate if we are not liquidated, and unfortunately you had to go. You have left with your reputation in tact, in spite of everything. I wish you well.

Re: Parkinson Leaves
Apparently he resigned last Thursday.
Good luck on the next venture Phil. Yes you've frustrated us, yes we won't agree with tactics however, you've given us an unlikely promotion and one of the best last days of a football season I think I'll ever remember all with your arms tied behind your back.

I dare say at some point I'll write something about PP but for now I can't add much to what's been said here; I mentally quoted-and-typed-"This" on a dozen or so posts above.
I'm glad to see that even those who objected loud and long to his tactics have acknowledged his contribution. He certainly doesn't deserve to be hated.
Oh and I look forward to 20,000 home gates now as all those who said they'll never come again flood back in
