I have been on "a reading brief only" during our takeover, as it affected me more than I could have ever imagined, dreading the thought of never having a club to support. ANYWAY, I feel like somebody reborn, and it feels like a breath of fresh air with new enthusiasm for my club. I have only missed the Bradford game so far (on holiday) and have loved the atmosphere we have generated. So I am pleased to say, have renewed our season tickets sitting in ESL round about the 190 mark and thoroughly looking forward to it :)

Good to hear from you, Twilight. It was a pretty fraught time to be a Wanderer but we have our team back. Hopefully see you at the UniBol :)

Great to hear that Twilight, and others who have expressed similar sentiments.

Can't ask for any more than that. All the usual caveats, but marvelous interview...

Over 7,500 STs sold so far. Very impressive.

Never mind Iles' blog, I'll just come here for the Hoboh results service. And imagine him reading it like James Alexander Gordon.

Gartside's back

Andrew, son of

Starts next month as COO, under CEO Emma Beaugarde

“We are delighted to bring Andrew on board as the chief operating officer and general counsel. Andrew provided enormous assistance to Football Ventures (Whites) Limited during the prolonged takeover and played a significant role in getting the deal over the line. His work will focus on the Bolton Whites Hotel and his expertise, particularly from a legal perspective, will be of great benefit to the business.”

Great appointment. AG is very very sharp and also loves the club. Pleased with how FV are going about this. He was a big part in making deal happen too.

Exactly. However, social media is abound by those who don't know the first thing about anything, sounding off their annoyance at his appointment. We truly are surrounded by 4ucking imbeciles.

I’m finding it’s more and more a pattern of life. Bob in Farnworth thinks his reckonings on Twitter carry as much weight as people who actually understand these things. I don’t know what a football club COO really does, and I don’t know anything about AG’s qualifications for the job so I’m happy to let the people who do understand these things make that decision.

In wider life I’ve noticed more in the last 12 months patients openly questioning doctors’ opinions. Yes they’ve seen 4 specialists who all agree with each other, but the thing they read on the internet or that Janet at work told them is obviously right.

It was the same as when we were going through the admin and takeover process. The amount of shit being posted about the process and the criticism of some of those involved from people who really didn’t have a clue really pissed me off.

We live in "post truth" Britain though. The truth is whatever you want it to be at that particular moment.
