Re: Tickets
Only a fiver for the Ipswich home game. Hope it brings better luck than previous 'fiver' games.

Re: Tickets
Bit early to start an Accy thread yet, so thought I'd lob this in here;
1,570 have been sold so far for Accrington since 9AM THIS MORNING! Roughly 884 tickets remain from the allocation of 2,454
2.5K away tickets? The entire place only holds around 5.5K
Have they had the builders in?

Re: Tickets
We could have a Wigan/Springfield park situation. I forget the year because it was pretty much an annual thing, but we'd taken over their ground with Wanderers fans on all 4 sides of the ground. 5 minutes to go and there's an announcement over the tannoyBruce Rioja wrote: ↑Mon Nov 04, 2019 4:39 pmBit early to start an Accy thread yet, so thought I'd lob this in here;

"Would the Wigan fans remain behind until after the final whistle"
Dave Whelan could bankroll them for another 20 years and they'd still be tinpot
On the tickets - Great effort from our lot so far

Re: Tickets
lovely stuff. I remember going to the JJB for the replay in 2011 and it being about 50:50 attendance wise. Port Vale a few years ago was getting that way too. It's a cracking feeling.Harry Genshaw wrote: ↑Mon Nov 04, 2019 4:57 pmWe could have a Wigan/Springfield park situation. Re: Tickets
Last League 1 campaign against Port Vale, Rochdale & Oldham, we had more away fans than home fans - I think Bury was almost 50:50 too

Re: Tickets
Been quite a few times, but only when we've sponsored their games at work. This'll be my first visit as a supporter, rather than as a sandwich-eating corporate whore

Re: Tickets
Want to go to this, but my lad has a Footy tournament in the morning and from what I can gather, there's absolutely nowhere to park nearby and the stadium is miles away from any transport links, so we can't even park up outside the area and get the tube in
Don't see a way I can make it in time for kickoff

Re: Tickets
It's a half-hour walk from Wimbledon station, which is a major overground and Tube hub and thus accessible from all sorts of stations with parking. Best bet might be to get a taxi from the station to the ground. I live not far from there so I could help you choose a Wimbledon-feeding station which you can park at
There's a train from Upper Halliford, which is basically a halt in a field at the end of the M3, to Wimbledon (leaves 1.44, arrives 2.16)
Upper Halliford train station is here: https://goo.gl/maps/wMgoM8bg9wjTjWLA6

Re: Tickets
Enjoy. Would love to be there but am working - indeed, it'll be mid-September before I can get to a game, but mortgages and biscuits don't come for free

Re: Tickets
We're in Kew Friday night and after checkout will probably drive to a convenient tube with parking. Any suggestions?

Re: Tickets
The tube branch to Wimbledon goes from fairly central places which may be tricky to park at. (For instance, there is a tube stop at Kew Gardens, which is on the District Line like Wimbledon - but as they're on different branches, you'd have to fag into Earl's Court and out again.)Harry Genshaw wrote: ↑Wed Aug 11, 2021 10:34 amWe're in Kew Friday night and after checkout will probably drive to a convenient tube with parking. You could park near Kew Gardens - I know you can park on The Avenue on Saturday (https://goo.gl/maps/djvhQaKjao246J8N8) - and get the tube to Richmond, changing to Wimbledon.
But I'd advise parking at my old stomping ground of Teddington, which is on the overground train: 20 minute journey, four trains an hour. Park on the east side of the station - set satnav for Udney Park Road, but on a Saturday (check the signs) you may be able to park slightly nearer on Cromwell Road or, winningly, Bolton Gardens (https://goo.gl/maps/sPBA6AM9w5WqgRjy8). Last I looked, Bolton Gardens is free parking all week but therefore fills up quickly. Average house price is £1.77m.
When you get back to the car, it should be a 10-minute drive to the M3, thence M25 and on to God's country.
And wherever you park, always always check the signs. As elsewhere, councils love making money from parking fines.

Thanks DSB. I've had Lonely Planet guides that weren't that informative!
