Depends on Tuesday at Valley Parade - if Bradford win by 3+ or Rochdale by 4+. Owt else, we're through to the knockouts, in the first midweek of December.

Given Verlinden is clearly going back for the 3rd round to stoke I hope we have the scouts (??) out for a creative midfielder type...

Could be just a general decision to give the manager time to make his mind up. He might not want him.officer_dibble wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2019 9:11 amGiven Verlinden is clearly going back for the 3rd round to stoke I hope we have the scouts (??) out for a creative midfielder type...
More likely he will though, I agree. Especially as it sounds like the fans want him back and he needs them on side.

Under the embargo we can only loan window-to-window; the same applies to Earl, Bridcutt and Wright, although we should be able to agree to buy out the contracts of the latter two. By contrast, Verlinden was only ever likely to be the one loan - either he'd be a success and they'd want him back or he wouldn't and we'd want shut. I guess there's a middle ground but with a new manager in place, and one who doesn't share Nathan Jones's taste for a diamond midfield, T-bone will be going back. It's a shame but we move on.
Don't worry, the reborn Buckley will be back soon!

It'd be nice to keep Verlinden but hopefully there is someone else out there.

As time passes I find myself increasingly agreeing with BWFC-I when it comes to Verlinden, in that there doesn't appear to be much end product with the lad.
Put it this way - we missed Crawford a feck's site more than we missed Verlinden on Saturday.
May the bridges I burn light your way

He’s a good runner with the ball but for us I feel he’s mainly a luxury. That said without him and Crawford we will be lacking creatively. So will need a remedy in Jan.Bruce Rioja wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2019 12:36 pmAs time passes I find myself increasingly agreeing with BWFC-I when it comes to Verlinden, in that there doesn't appear to be much end product with the lad.

I personally rate him but I wouldn't complain if Hill replaces him with a decent winger who is, at least, no worse.

I'm not sure a "winger" is what we need. For me we need a DoDoo style forward on the left. Someone who can go on the outside and whip a cross in but also get shots away.
We look better to me the more we play a 4-3-3 with three "forwards" as opposed to more of a 4-5-1 with 2 wingers.
A Crawford replacement is essential.

Spot on - this should be the main priority for Hill. We lack any creativity in midfield without Crawford, for me a much bigger loss than Bridcutt.

Buckley will be back soon - Not everyone's cup of tea, but he's got bags of energy and can beat a man... Just don't want any chances falling to him!

He's dead handy but the geezer is a sick note, sadly
