Struth, Spotty, that's a bit rough. What happened? Did he kick you out of the band because you kept breaking your harp strings?

I think Spots might have meant the Billy McKee who was a rear gunner on an I.R.A bread van and who's music making was the rattle of a Thompson gun rather than an electric guitar....just mentioning like..

Let's face it, he was a right tit. But missable.

Only ever seen him in The Hitcher, in which he was very good.

Just had the call from my younger brother to say that this evening he takes his beautiful boy, Oscar, on his final journey. He's developed a malignant growth under his right eye, which has reached the point at which it's simply cruel to carry on. I'm absolutely gutted for him and his family - they're heartbroken. Goodnight, Oscar, you tireless, handsome rascal. I'm going to miss those walks sooooo much.

You (and your brother of course) Bruce, really do have my heartfelt sympathy. I hope your brother has the courage to hold him till he goes, it'll be heartbreaking for him, but at least the poor dog will go with somebody who loves him there to the end.. I' have a 13 year old dog and I'm finding this a bit hard ( and a bit blurred) to write.

Never easy losing a pet is it? My cat Alfie had a heart attack (we think) on my lap and died there and then back in January. I rushed him to the vets but it was too late. He was an old boy but had shown no signs at all of ill health. It was such a shock and I still think about it now and if I could have done anything differently for him. :(

Hope Oscar had a peaceful parting. :(

No one here knows him but our lovely friend Charlie died tonight. He was in his early 50’s. Super fit and healthy. Cancer sucks.
