with all the plausibility of the bloke in A&E attempting to explain how come he ended up with his cock in the Hoover.

I maintain to this day I tripped coming out of the shower.
 My s-I-l works in A&E. Apparently, blokes who've accidentally sat on the sauce bottle / hair brush etc. Whilst naked are more common than any of us might imagine 😮

Sooo ... Stevenage v Oldham was postponed today because of international call-ups??! As well as countless other lower league games. Never seen so many lower league games cancelled for this before. Because a single player is missing or something?!

And we might get punished for have the gall to postpone against Doncaster ...

Has to be three players, I believe. Been the rules for a while. Plenty areas we can attack the EFL on - if we choose to - but this isn't among 'em, IMO.

It did occur to me today that we might do a deal. When they impose a deduction, threaten to appeal... (whispers behind hand) unless we're out of embargo by Jan 1st.

What has to be three players? For international call-ups?

That's how I've always understood it. Teams can only postpone if three players of more are away on international duty

Cracking but of Gervais stand up on a guy in a&e who "fell" on a sauce bottle.

So why did it have a condom on it then?

Also, cheap bastard, buy another bottle. One for arses, one for chips.

Turns out Stevenage had three players on duty, playing for Afghanistan, Antigua & Guyana.

No punishment for us. Boatloads of embarrassment, scorn and disdain heaped upon the EFL for not having a fecking clue as to what it is they're doing.
Debbie Jevans attempting to explain how the EFL have tried to screw us for abiding by one of their rules which they'd clearly forgotten about, with all the plausibility of the bloke in A&E attempting to explain how come he ended up with his cock in the Hoover.

feck 'em. c*nts!
Not sure on that. If you're citing the safeguarding guidelines - they are FA guidelines not rules and apply to the premiership U21s as far as I know.....

Ah, then I've been misinformed. Even SJM's labouring under the same misapprehension as I.

What I do think they'll throw the book as us for, btw, is the manner by which we called the Donny game off.

Hmmmmm.......

As I've said before he's not the brightest...

As for Donny game - we asked them to postpone it for safeguarding reasons - they said no. What else could the club have done? In hindsight they should have played it BUT equally the risks were piling up and they were trying to force people's hands (and Parky saying the kids couldn't/shouldn't be asked to turn out again was ideal).

Have we any indication yet as to when we're likely to hear something?

It was mentioned not before Wednesday. So could be tomorrow (or anytime in the future).

Iles says Wednesday. I suspect the club have known since the weekend - perhaps given a chance to appeal before official announcement is made.

"The EFL have not confirmed when they will announce Wanderers’ potential punishment but it now looks as if fans will have to wait for at least another week before the club finds out its fate."
