Apparently it's the first time we've scored three in a league game since 'that' Forest game.

Important result today but I really don't rate Hill at all, our defending is absolutely appalling - and why does the stubborn cnut think that playing 5ft 7" Bridcutt at CB is a good idea.

I still don't have a clue what he's trying to do at all football wise, organisation, spirit, tempo, tactics - and what if anything we do in training to improve things - but generally that was poor again today against a shite team and IMO the result just papered over the cracks, but I think that the fans are so downtrodden and used to the weekly dross under Parkinson that we'll accept any shite put out on the pitch as long as its 3 points, btw our 3 goals were decent today the defending for their 2 was the usual shite Sunday League standard that we are getting used to under Hill.

Merry Xmas to you all.

Got away with it. If Bridcutt plays centre half again Keith Hill wants sectioning. But yeah, still at that stage where every win feels like a big one! Get in, indeed!

Of course that would have been funnier if they'd not scored a second.

Don't let it put you off, this place is the worse without you.

Meanwhile, more good news that both Wimbledons lost, even if one was a six-pointer to Tranmere. We're now only two points behind Southend with four games in hand, but more importantly 15 from safety with three games in hand. Plainly we need more regular wins to bridge that gap but let's enjoy cheer wherever we find it. Happy Christmas!

We do appear to be going backwards from the side that performed so well against Oxford, Blackpool, Sunderland and Portsmouth. We've conceded from two set pieces today and yet our own set pieces still offer little or no threat.

Whatever though. We won and that was all that really mattered today.

A very unconvincing performance, but a win's a win.

An internet pint for whoever can guess the last time we won after conceding the first goal.

Norfampton at home, 18/03/17 (ie a quarter of a decade ago)

Alfie pengie than a winner from Phil Morais, whose release catalysed our downfall, but that's a discussion for another day

Happy for the 3 points. However we looked very vulnerable to set pieces and also when we get pressured when in possession in our defensive third. In the first half when we tried to play it out the back through to midfield we look very uncertain as we do not have the technical players to do so under pressure. Teams have figured us out. Hope we can sign a few in January. Thought Bridcutt did ok at centre back today. Man of the Match possibly as no one really stood out individually.

Partly because the calmest bloke on the ball is currently playing at centre-back. Which has its benefits and shortcomings in that department - literally, given his physique - but also affects the midfield balance: especially in the absence of Ali Crawford, and with the greatest respect to the promising kid Darcy, we lack a someone in midfield who wants the ball and can reliably build with it, constructing those 10-yard forward diagonals that carry a team up the pitch.

So that's what we look for in January. For now, this is getting enough results to keep hope flickering.
