A few folk apparently not over happy with this ref; a free kick that wasn't and a card that should have been red. Fair comment?

*slightly* harsh on Matthews in that it bounces just in front of him so it's kinda hard to read. But yes, it looks bad. Mind you, I did say this week that Matthews is erratic. I dare say he'll pull off a worldie in the last minute to keep it 0-2, but he's just not reliably good.
Speaking of which, watch Toto Nsiala (No.28) on that video. A centre-back, watching on from outside the width of the posts. When it bounces clear, his leg twitches, like a dreaming dog, while a proper footballer reacts and bags a goal.

Meanwhile - someone's been at the Liam Edwards voodoo doll again. Our contracted-until-2022 defender had treatment in the first half and didn't come back out after the oranges. On trundles Chris O'Grady, with Uncle Wherever Jason Lowe dropping into centre-back, CO'G up top with Dodoo and Politic on the left.
Wonder how many back fours/fives we've gone through this season?

We need two goals and some good defending. Is that asking too much....?

Supposedly much better in the second half and we are unlucky still to be behind. COYWM

Wow - O'Grady tries to get the finishing touch on a cross and somehow clears it over his own head

Thought that one was going in until he touched it.

Looks like Hamilton has done his shoulder in.
*edit* he's back on.

This ref is letting Portsmouth get away with Murder, should have been at least 3 yellow cards in the last 5 mins.

Two minutes left, on comes Conor Hall (for Darcy).

Can't be bothered with this every week,
Not converting chances. Can't defend set pieces, keeper can't be trusted, refs are crap.
Just feck off football.

Connor Hall with the seasons best if in doubt kick it out.

18pts from safety now, maybe more if Tranmere win their own games in hand. Despite getting away without further points punishment, the gap has widened (it was 15pts when Hill arrived).

Felt for us today. They're working their socks off but just not getting the rub of the green. If the ball can go 2 ways and 1 is to our disadvantage, then that's the way it's going at the moment.
We dominated the 2nd half without creating clear cut chances.
Politic MotM followed closely by Darcy. O'Grady played well too but that miss..
The ref was the latest in a long list of charlatans and incompetent tosspots.

Pretty much where I am. Politic needs to work on his decision making, but I've got to admire his confidence and the willingness to go for a shot. We need to keep hold of him - he'll be outstanding in League 2.Harry Genshaw wrote: ↑Sat Jan 18, 2020 5:44 pmFelt for us today. *Cough* that's Dodoo isn't it? 23. Video isn't great. Nsiala I think it's between the sticks and then trying to get to the loose ball and second.
Mistake from Matthews. Difficult but got to shovel that wide. Your bob on on Remi, world class double save to keep it 2-0 is very him.
Sounds like the performance was ok today? All about building now isn't it. How'd the new kid do? And Edwards while he was on?
