We don’t need to sell on the cheap now? So a million quid might get us talking?

More. Seriously.

You know how we're struggling because it's thought we can "only" pay players £2kpw? A million quid gets you ten players at that rate for one season. When we were first in embargo, under Parky/Ken just after dropping into the Third, we were "limited" to paying (new) players £11,500 per week - so under those rules (theoretical but you get the point), a million for Harry would get us two players for a season.

Not only that, but FV need to send a signal that they're serious about self-sufficiency and development. And the club's future.

Connor Hall has gone on loan to Chorley. Incoming?

Yep. Has to be. One off the books, probably nearer his level there. Interesting he was on the bench over Faal at the weekend though.

I believe Hall is going to get games under his belt and will be back next season for League 2.

Dodoo, Ogrady, Murphy, Faal, Hall

Bit hard for Hall to get games.

Like you say frees up a spot for another position. Maybe another creative midfielder or CB.

He's out of contract in June. I wish him good luck, but I'd be very surprised if he plays another minute for us.

You have to say it's worrying for the lad that he's gone to the bottom club in Division Five. (Much love to Chorley, to whom I wish all the best.) Did nobody in Division Four want him? Or did HillCroft specifically want him nearby to keep tabs and maybe (with permission from Chorley) some training sessions with the parent club? Did they want him to dip down beyond Div Four to a level where he might bag a few goals? But will that happen in a team that's won 4 in 31 league games?

Maybe, hopefully, it'll kickstart him. I really hope so, whether for our sake or simply his. Huge six months for him.

Agreed
He’s too injury prone for a start. No more passengers!

Iiles is saying a "new" (his inverted commas) signing is on the way. Sounds like a returning loanee.

That'd be good, or maybe Verlinden.

I believe it is Verlinden as well. He wasn't even on the bench in Stoke's last match over the weekend, having been there since he left us.

Be nice that but heard he was injured and that is why not involved with Stoke. But its possible they want him to continue his development here.

I'd take either gladly - so long as Keef doesn't decide he wants to play Bridcutt at CB....

I'm almost certain it's Buckley.

I'm sure O'Neill has already been quoted as saying Verlinden will be staying at Stoke for the rest of this season.

I'd be very happy if its Bridcutt. Less so if it was Chris Taylor or Liam Trotter

10 days ago, thusly:
He could go back to Bolton, but I don’t envisage that being the case. Thibaud has come back in and played against Brentford and come on in the game against Millwall. Certainly what he’s showing me on a daily basis at the minute is not making me think we would send him back to Bolton.

Thibaud is a young player that excites me. He certainly has a high level of technical ability. There’s other things that he needs to add to his game, but his attitude and application since he came back has been first class.
But 10 days is a long time. For a start, they've signed Norn Iron winger Jordan Thompson from Blackpool - doesn't mean there's no room for T-bone but it can't help. And as I understand it, now he's played for them he can't play for anyone else this season but us.

It's Buckley, till the end of the season.

https://www.bwfc.co.uk/news/2020/januar ... wanderers/

"Bolton Wanderers are pleased to announce that midfielder Will Buckley has re-signed for the club until the end of the season. Buckley, 30, had already made five appearances for Wanderers so far this season, before his contract expired earlier this month. The Oldham-born winger will be available for selection for tomorrow’s home Sky Bet League One clash against Bristol Rovers."
