A hospital in a week-10 days
20yrs plus to build a train set that will be out of date when finished!
No wonder the west are being passed by the likes of China.

Looks more and more like the official figures for the infected in China are being manipulated downwards, vastly.

You see when is an epidemic an epidemic and world threat? If One million Chinese had the virus that would only be about 0.2% of their population and 700 hundred fatalities a mere drop in the ocean.

Ffs!On Monday four walkers had to be rescued from near the summit of Ben Nevis after becoming trapped in blizzard conditions. Rescuers said the walkers were lucky to be alive after they were found without ice axes, crampons or maps. Three of them were wearing trainers.
Lochaber mountain rescue team said all four were taken by helicopter from partway down the mountain to be checked over at Belford hospital in Fort William. The helicopter could not be used near the summit because of the severity of the conditions.

Years back, I used to work with an experienced and sensible lad in his late twenties who went climbing up Scotland most Friday nights till Sunday and hitchhiked both ways. It was his hobby and he met his friends there with like pursuits and they knew what they were doing and had the right gear... One week end he never came back, caught out by the weather. He's buried up near Fort William somewhere. R.I.P Jeff.

Ahh, the good old Beeb who are foaming at the mouth about being made to possibly deliver on a commercial playing field;

And they wonder why people call them biased?
Imagine a reporter saying that of a coloured crowd........
Who choses when it's acceptable to be PC? Oh yes a trendy liberal working for the BBC or one of its committees. Perhaps they should stand as potential Labour leaders.

I'd suggest you go and speak to real people instead of living in an angry internet bubble.Hoboh wrote: ↑Tue Feb 18, 2020 8:41 pmAhh, the good old Beeb who are foaming at the mouth about being made to possibly deliver on a commercial playing field;

You can start with the family of Czech's in my street who are very very scared right now. Real people, real lives. Go and speak to them about their experience and how having lived in this country for nearly a decade they suddenly now don't feel welcome - their kids who were born here are bullied and told they don't belong here. And shockingly this is not uncommon.
I suspect you're happy deep down about that - but perhaps if you went and engaged with people about the environment being created and spoke to actual people rather than internet bots you might have some sort of epiphany. Though I doubt it.

If, regardless of political, ethnic or religious persuasions, the world were composed of sensible, intelligent and fair-minded people, how wonderful it would be. Unfortunately, it isn't. I live next door, and next door but one to east-european families, Polish, Ukranian, and a few doors away, Asians, all hard-working folk.. Mixed with Bolton locals everybody gets on fine. Mainly everybody goes their own way but quite happily. It would be easy to ask, "what's the problem?", but then my first sentence would apply. I also live in Farnworth, not too far from the Flower Estate and New Bury is only a quarter mile away. Multi cultural doesn't even begin to describe Bolton and District these days. Again, if the first sentence applied, all would be fine. Unfortunately, you only have to read the Bolton News......
