Don the tin helmets and Plough on regardless, AFCW (A) 7/3/2020 3pm9

Post by LeverEnd » Wed Mar 04, 2020 1:41 pm

Anyone going? I am. Quite excited even. Standing on an old fashioned terrace to watch us for the first time since that 9 goal 'thriller' at London road under Dougie.
Will be going for a beer first somewhere in Kingston if anyone fancies it. Taking 2 kiwi mates for their taste of live English football!

Can't make this - working.

Proper non-league ground - hidden off a main road, terrace down the side with like six steps on it, sewage works behind the other end.

Good luck to those who go. It's our club, and always will be, and the opponents are an example of how bad things can get. Have pride.

I've got my ticket.

LE - there's a social club at the ground that welcomes away supporters. There's a distinct non-league atmos and it's all very civilised.

Have we sold all our allocation?

I went last time and it was great. Proper old school football ground, friendly stewards, sun was shining and Liam Trotter scored the winner. Carlsberg dont do away days...

Gutted.

Aunt-in-Law is having a 90th bash which starts at four as she'll be in bed by eight.

Never met the old girl and likely I'll never see her again but got a three-line whip. I don't cede much but this had a ring of menace about it.

Will be there in spirit, cracking venue. Have one.for.me, please.

Harry, anyone that's anyone knows the Rioja Formula assumes a modicum of nous and has never included a kick-off time.

Take a C-.

Some tickets still available, but in person or over the phone only. No pay-on-the-day.

Can someone advise Hill not to turn up in a royal blue scarf? We don't want it kicking off again ;)

If I was him I'd turn up dressed as Uncle Orinoco.

I'd love him to do that. I'd be advocating a 10 year deal if he did.
