We received a drubbing at theirs three months ago, which does not augur well. Still, three months is a long time in footballing terms. I'm thinking that, if we can get our injured back on the paddock, we will have a good chance of three points.

Won 3 of their last 5. Stuffed us at theirs. Can't see a win, would be happy with a draw, predicting a loss 1-2.

I agree with Worthy 1-2, I actually can't see us winning any of the next 3 games.Worthy4England wrote: ↑Wed Jan 27, 2021 11:34 pmWon 3 of their last 5. Stuffed us at theirs. Can't see a win, would be happy with a draw, predicting a loss 1-2.

Lee should be fit if what Evatt said last week is true, and perhaps we'll also get our first sighting of John, if not Jackson is fine at left back. Drop Elbouwhatever and stick Arthur or Fonz in and we're set fair I reckon. Oh, and I suppose Baptiste in for Delaney.
3-1 to Bolton fecking Wanderers.

With Mansfield rearranged to Tuesday it's now a three-game week, so I wonder whether Evatt will be careful with Lee and (to an extent) Tutte. I think our strongest midfield trio right now is Tutte behind Lee and Sarce, but Tomo and (theoretically) Crawford should offer options, either in rotation or as substitutes.
Personally I'd start Delf left and Isgrove right, with Arthur pre-planned to come on for the last half-hour – time we started making them sweat for their positions. Elbo is another option as a sub if both wide men are tired or cack.
Speaking of tired or cack: Baptiste or Greenidge? I suspect Baptiste will get the nod. Brockbank is another option but I'd expect he'll be on the bench. Rest of the selection is predictable, including if Declan John is fit to replace young Jackson (although, again, the midweek game might tempt Evatt to play safe).

Sarcevic out for a month with a groin injury. That's a big blow in my opinion.

oh FFS. (Dearden's tweeted it too so it seems like it's come out in the presser)

Massive blow. For me our most talented player. Been super impressed with him this season. Bags of talent.brommers95 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 28, 2021 2:21 pmSarcevic out for a month with a groin injury. That's a big blow in my opinion.

Honestly, if Lee is fit I'm not too bothered about this. Sarce is very in and out - he sometimes puts in a half hour shift where he looks too good for this division, but more regularly he goes missing and has very little influence on games. I rather suspect a three of Tutte, Lee and Thomason might prove to be our strongest midfield lineup.brommers95 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 28, 2021 2:21 pmSarcevic out for a month with a groin injury. Sounds like Lee won't be starting on Saturday, which is a shame, so I guess it will be Tutte sitting with Thomason and probably Crawford further forward.

It’s a big blow - Crawford, Thomason, whoever plays instead are nowhere as useful as him. Tackles, passes, scores. Yep he’s bloody annoying because he should turn it on for longer in games but it’s as much to do with the shambles round him.
Hopefully Lee can start, probably with Thomason and Tutte. Crawford’s just a soft c*nt wouldn’t want him playing in a scrap. John they are saying still isn’t fit. Miller gets a mention as well.

Lee's more an all round type. Sarcevic is the attacking mid. It worries me that people don't think it matters. It won't if Crawford stepped up massively and came even close to last season levels....The_Gun wrote: ↑Thu Jan 28, 2021 3:21 pmHonestly, if Lee is fit I'm not too bothered about this. I think Sarce is a big miss too. Yes he drifts from controlling to anonymous, but often when he's in controlling phase, things happen.

Frankly I think we need all hands on deck, especially if HMS PTL has turned into the Titanic.

It's just rinse repeat with this club.
Injuries still plaguing us.
At least the few on twitter asking for him to be dropped can see what we look like without him in the team.

I don’t want him to be injured, obviously, but if I were manager (some day), I would have dropped him for Lee anyway. If Lee still isn’t fit then it means probably bringing in Crawford, which definitely isn’t ideal.

I think Crawford will start either way. I can't see us playing a three of Lee, Tutte and Thomasson.

Evatt has said Lee isn't fit to start yet anyway, but why wouldn't you want to play that trio?nicholaldo wrote: ↑Thu Jan 28, 2021 6:36 pm

Evatt says a lot. He said he was withdrawn as a precaution then he wasn’t in the 16 last weekend. I wouldn’t trust what he says on injuries one jot!

As always I'll go into Saturday thinking that this could be the day it all clicks and we win by 4 or 5.
In the real world our most creative player is out injured and we'll do well to get a point.
