They’ve got more last minute goals than we have. Be some game that in April.

Grand win. Should've been comfy. Got scary.

However I've not forgotten what it's like to be shouting at the laptop and screaming at the ref to blow his feckin whistle.Harry Genshaw wrote: ↑Tue Mar 09, 2021 7:52 pmFook. I'd long since forgotten what it was like to see us play such great football.

He’s more likely to cost us a game. Playing with ten men when he’s on. He’s half the player he was at Peterborough. And the problem with that is he doesn’t work very hard.

Top team loses
2nd team loses
3rd team draws with 5th
4th team wins
5th team draws with 3rd
6th team wins
We stay 7th but we can't complain about that set of results above us.
Great relief (and solid defending) to hold on after we spent an hour almost embarrassingly better than them playing some of the best stuff I've seen us play in decades.

So far, he's been shit.officer_dibble wrote: ↑Tue Mar 09, 2021 9:01 pmHe’s more likely to cost us a game. Playing with ten men when he’s on. He’s half the player he was at Peterborough. And the problem with that is he doesn’t work very hard.

Maddison hit the post and almost crossed it into the top corner. There's more to come from him and he looks like possibly a very good signing should it come off. Frustrating at the moment.
Campo and Okocha both started poorly for Bolton. Give Maddison time and he might come good too.

Aye it's off the ball he the problem for me. On it he gives it away but that's another half hour where he's hit the post, whistled another just wide and put another lovely one in.officer_dibble wrote: ↑Tue Mar 09, 2021 9:01 pmHe’s more likely to cost us a game. But off it he does just enough, as in he'll look like he's pressing but no intent to win it. The difference from the rest of the press is obvious.
If he can get on board with that, then the rest will come.
Still worth persevering for me, but off the bench atm.

Good important win and a very good 1st 70 mins, but poor subs by Evatt IMO just no need to make those changes - I really rate Maddison & want him to become a regular starter but he's done nothing to date & adds nothing when he comes on, and I'm not sure how many more minutes Evatt can give him.
Awful horrendous inexcusable error by Gilks, now you know where Crellin gets it from - its Jensen time for me, but if Gilks doesn't fcuk that up its a comfortable last 10 mins, but at 2-1 everyone gets nervous. It really is about time though that we had a comfortable 3 or 4 goal win, we just miss so many easy chances in every game.

If Crawford had played like that, he'd have got buried.

John and Dapo the standouts for me, but all ten of the outfield starters were excellent.
Lee and John are far far far too good for league two. John's acceleration is ridiculous and he uses it so well when he goes through the years. Lee always calm, great feet and great engine.

Yes John & Lee are proper championship level players.

Gilkes played pretty well (again), I’m not sure I’d be dropping him. Think his organization is undervalued. But feck me one week we are gonna blow someone away. Be nice to do it Saturday given the score in the home game...

I'd stick with the lads who've dragged us back into the promotion race unless there are injuries. Maddison is way down the pecking order for me. He shouldn't have come on before Arthur.

M J Williams has been a revelation. He was superb again tonight.

Agree about Gilks. That was dreadful tonight but another untried youngster at this stage would scare the shit out of me.officer_dibble wrote: ↑Tue Mar 09, 2021 9:21 pmGilkes played pretty well (again), I’m not sure I’d be dropping him. Can't see us blowing anyone away. Just don't seem to be that kind of team.
