Last time the bell tolled six times against us and gave us a real wake up call. (We did get three back, too little too late) No excuses now, we need to dominate this one and take nothing for granted. Be nice to add Team of the Month to the other baubles. Nothing but a thrashing will do. Three losses, two draws and a third from bottom in the league says so. COME ON YOU WHITES.... :oyea: :oyea: :oyea:

There can’t be any drop off now - our destiny remains out of our hands. Play like we did before we conceded on Tuesday and we will win, play like we did after conceding and we won’t win.

I reckon they’ll have a go at us and will nick a goal, but ultimately won’t be able to contain our forwards.

1-3 Bolton.

I do believe we've already won this month so let's see.

Play like last game and should be another entertaining game.

Don't want to predict anything as when we get ahead of ourselves is when it bites us in the arse.

I think we should have learned by now how to win games. ( adds a hasty "theoretically") The result is as much ruled by first half missed chances as by last third retreat and pull up the drawbridge defending. That's fine if we are far enough ahead for one goal not to matter, but a team only one goal down is always a big threat. The way we are playing is short only of converting build up play into results. We have a whole team of players capable of scoring goals, plus a few on the bench. We'll win, believe it. :oyea: :oyea:

Only six of the XI that started on Tuesday started in the home thrashing v Vale - Gilks, Santos, Bap, Delf, Sarce and Doyle. That's a decent half dozen bolstered by Jones, John, Williams, Lee and Afo. Would be disappointing not to win this. 0-2 to us.

This was my first away game with mates in 1983. Dave Higson the steward on the coach, as we made our way to what I was sure would be a charming fishing village somewhere 'down south'.

We won 2-1, no boats to be seen and some very unfriendly locals. I've been 4 more times since, never seen us lose and each time the reception got livelier.

Any road, another good performance tomorrow and another narrow 2-1 victory.

Should be a win, but as delighted as I am by recent results, I still can't convince myself we're the real deal.

I’ve come to the conclusion that we’re not the real deal, but that it doesn’t matter because this league is shite.

We are the real deal. Went for some socially distanced park bench cans with our kid last night and we were both giddy about quite how good we were in the last two games. We looked leagues above.

We're due to give someone a dicking. I think it will be tomorrow. Can't believe they're fourth bottom after spanking us at the Unibol. Must've gone badly wrong.

Away win. 4-0

I've become conditioned to expect it all to go fits up in the rhubarb.
Makes for a pleasant surprise each time we continue to be good though!

Agreed, though I think it will be 6+. Doyle with 4.

Weather forecast for Stoke is rain clearing this afternoon. Right now it's a lousy day in Farnworth. Hope Vale pitch is decent and lets us play football.

Missing this as I'm flat hunting, which is annoying. However I'll be checking my phone in expectation rather than trepidation, which is a new one.

I think our biggest obstacle today might be the state of the pitch.
