None of the subs made a case to be included whatsoever. Especially Delf, he was garbage.
Centre halves are getting us these results each and every week!
John injury did for us as an attacking force which is quite a concern. Jones and Brockbank at full back isn’t half as good.

We’ve three games left and might need to win two and draw one or something like that and for me we need to up our performance specifically our goals scored. John or Gilks being out are absolutely massive losses at this stage. But maybe Sarce is back? But yeah all we can do is pray.Harry Genshaw wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 8:59 pmChuffed with the win but that performance does not ease my fears around Saturday

Right now, at this very moment I feel pretty pessimistic regarding Saturday. Whilst being as choofed as foook that we took three points we were hanging on for dear life there. Meanwhile Morecambe went and thumped a bottom-of-the-table side who gave us the absolute runaround on Saturday.

If your Morecambe you are fancying it aren’t you! We only need to score first though!Burnden Paddock wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 9:02 pmI thought Gilks jarred his knee Tbf to him. Nervy as feck that. I’m not holding out much hope for Saturday!

Seemed to go to script. Bolton tend to do enough and Carlisle rarely score or concede after going 1-0 down.
Performance made me nervous but that’s natural and I’m assured that performances aren’t as important as results.
Saturday will be intriguing... by which I mean terrifying...

Haven’t checked but I reckon the last time the top five all won, we weren’t in it.

In terms of importance, that's an immense result. We're in a league full of teams not much difference to us, ( a crazy league at times) we beat them any way we can and, like tonight, the chasers are always the hungriest. We got the lead, defended it and kept the points. Little else matters right now. We weren't going to throw it away and, we didn't. Well done the lads. Like Evatt apparently said "Do your jobs!"....and they did.

Important 3 points but a very poor start and a poor 2nd half performance yet again, our inability to play for 90 mins could well be our downfall - I thought Evatt said that we would be the fittest team in the league, they have played more games than us recently but looked a lot fresher & fitter than us IMO.
I'll be absolutely amazed (whilst delighted) if this team goes up automatically, I may be being harsh but they don't look like a top 3 side to me. We just don't have enough goal scoring options up front for me and this one goal a game certainly isn't top 3 form - still I'm absolutely made up with the 3 points & will have a few beers this evening, but not a good enough performance for me to convince me that we will remain in the top 3.
That Grimsby performance will prove costly IMO.

I agree. Our performances have not been stellar for a while really. We will need to improve for Saturday I think. And might have lost our best player and only real vocal organiser. However where there is life there is hope.Bruce Rioja wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 9:03 pmRight now, at this very moment I feel pretty pessimistic regarding Saturday. Gotta agree with this. Seems like we're likely to crawl over the line at this rate. It'll be an interesting week if we find out we've got some issues with John and Gilks. Would you try the untested Jensen or give Crellin another go?BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 9:12 pmI agree. Our performances have not been stellar for a while really. I wouldn’t let Crellin serve the half time lucozade! I think Gilkes will be OK. John unfortunately is probably done for the season.

I do like our attempts to play football but occasionally instead of trying to walk it in, I do wish someone would occasionally have a bang.

Yup, but I don't see it changing much with three games left....Harry Genshaw wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 9:27 pmI do like our attempts to play football but occasionally instead of trying to walk it in, I do wish someone would occasionally have a bang.

Agreed. Sick of us passing the ball to death around the box. The one time we went for it tonight, Dapo hit the post and Doyler bagged the rebound. Who knew?

I'm not sure about John, but Evatt has just said that Gilks is fine.

I thought we looked shagged. For a few games now...especially Lee, MJ and Tommo...Bertie Wooster wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 9:11 pmImportant 3 points but a very poor start and a poor 2nd half performance yet again, our inability to play for 90 mins could well be our downfall - I thought Evatt said that we would be the fittest team in the league, they have played more games than us recently but looked a lot fresher & fitter than us IMO.

Good news. John is such a big miss for me though. Easily our most accomplished player. Only one who can cross it. Don’t rate Brockbank at all.Bertie Wooster wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 9:43 pmI'm not sure about John, but Evatt has just said that Gilks is fine.
Also Elbo - can we just stop bringing him on?
I’d play the Parky 4-4-2 diamond on Saturday, Doyle and Miller split forwards and just knock it down the channels. Surprise them with something different.

The issue tonight was the crossing. Lost count of how many times we fecked up a ball into the box or played too many passes trying to find an extra yard of space.
