Aye MJ was superb, was my motm but then Baps as well...particularly after that injury first half which had me worried. But that’s a victory for football against those shithouses, that forearm smash on Williams was brutal wouldn’t even be surprised if that was the instruction to the sub given how much MJ had picked off all day.

Evatt ‘I don’t know whether to slap them or hug them’. Sums up the feelings of Wanderers fans everywhere there Ian.

I do say this (and it doesn’t matter one jot). Would we have won that against 11 and if they hadn’t lost both full backs early on to a red and injury. I’d say probably not, based on early exchanges. So perhaps the football gods have smiled down on us today. About time.

Who gives a flying fook!? We won. End of. If we get promoted because of it then fookin dancer! Geez!

What? It’s pure joy. We had the rub of the green for the first time in ages.

I didn't have them in front even when they had eleven. We started fine for once...

Regardless of red cards or whether it got nervy there at times, it's an away win against a promotion rival. Can't be anything other than an amazing result.

Survival was an okay season with everything that was going on. Play offs would have been amazing. Automatic promotion would be just amazing. We are so close now. A proper run at League One, with an established manager, momentum from promotion and the ability to bring in players with a degree of freedom could easily see us plough straight through to the Championship.

First twenty they had a lot of pressure. Not much came of it but just have been 4 or 5 corners and we didn’t have much in their half. Was how you expect it. But doesn’t matter. We got a little luck which after last few years is more than overdue.

Jackson was great today as well. Gave the ball away a couple of times but he is so positive - really like him. Would be happy to sign him...

Plus Baps surely gets another year?

Just be happy for once Insano with no caveats. It's a great place to be :-) regardless of woulda, shoulda, coulda. 4 points clear. 2 to play. Need to keep it going.

Sun's out sky's blue, there's a group playing wonderful shit in our boozer. There's been beer n platters. A win for the Whites...what's missing:-)

Big shout out to Lloyd Isgrove too. He had a great game. Baps was the main man though.

It’s an absolute brilliant result. The whys and wherefores at this stage irrelevant.

Man of the match is a toss up for me between Baptiste and MJ Williams who were both utterly superb. Probably his goal line clearance edges it for Baps up until then would have plumped for MJ.

Elbouzedi has had too many chances now. Send him back from whatever rock he was brought in from behind. One of the most truly awful players we’ve had.

I thought Miller did well when he came on. But Sarcevic of the subs was superb. His touch and class shone through. Shame others couldn’t take advantage. Thomason had a weak game and I’d hope Sarce is fit to start Saturday. One win now does it doesn’t it?
We might not even need a win.
I suspect looking at fixtures we do. Can’t see both Tranmere and Morecambe slipping up. And they’d both have to.
Eh, perhaps. Walsall and FGR away are not the first fixtures I'd choose in a must-win game though

fecking hell, that was way less comfortable than it should have been, but we’re so close now.

A much needed week off and then a chance to seal the deal vs Exeter. Sarce an absolute must start in that game - as I said earlier in this thread, Thomo and MJ have not been an effective combo at all.

Just been sent a video by a (journalist) mate of dozens of Wanderers singing the coach out of the car park, blue flares and all.

I mean, you can't COVID-condone it, but part of you secretly loves to see it.

There are no caveats. It was a tough game and we got a break and did the business. It’s not a criticism simply stating that for once we’ve had a break of fortune when it really mattered. Not sure what’s wrong with that?
