Re: Your England XI
Kieffer Moore equalises for Wales, and having just seen his name spelled out on the BBC I can now stop googling 'Keith Amor' and scratching my head when the only result is an Isle of Man TT specialist.
Wales pretty bang average, if a ruthless team would have punished them more severely. But alas.

Re: Your England XI
Wales are playing a system that requires speed on the counter and then playing only one of their quick players. Too many older, injury-ravaged players and they're not getting challenges in or winning second balls. I love Ramsey, Bale and Allen, but they're all past their best now and need legs around them. Even then they got a draw. If they can beat Turkey they have a chance of getting through and it's hard to say they have no chance of doing that.
I feel like they'd look a lot better if they had James and Brooks on at the same time. Certainly room in that squad for Sheehan, too.

When the Swiss manager substituted Shaqiri my eybrows went skywards. Bad move and it made a difference. Decent side, the Swiss, and Wales only woke up second half. The ref, some very odd decisions.????

Pray for Christian Eriksen.
Re: Your England XI
feck I hoped we'd never see that again. Fingers crossed for the same result.

Right back at that Spurs game, as I am sure all of us are. No idea what to say. Hope he recovers.
Re: Your England XI
feck knows why they didn't cut back to the studio. Rumours are he was conscious as they took him off the pitch. Really really hope so.
Seeing this once was once too many thank you. You just have to lean on it being the best possible place for it to happen. Fingers crossed the medics have done it again.

Pic on Twitter of him being carried off. Wired up and wearing an oxygen mask, with his eyes open.

UEFA confirm he’s in hospital and “stable” so once again looks like medics have pulled off a miracle.Burnden Paddock wrote: ↑Sat Jun 12, 2021 6:23 pmPic on Twitter of him being carried off. Danish FA say he is conscious and aware of his surroundings. Well done the medical team.

Denmark v Finland game to be completed at 8:30pm tonight after the players agreed to it. That's amazing.

I don’t think that’s the right call. I get the players might have wanted to play it. But for me should be a point each and let’s spend some time processing. Feels pretty redundant to play out a game of football now even with CE being seemingly ok.GhostoftheBok wrote: ↑Sat Jun 12, 2021 7:08 pmDenmark v Finland game to be completed at 8:30pm tonight after the players agreed to it. Amazing indeed but also I don't know if it's the right call...I know it is at the players' request and they are the ultimate arbiters in this case but there will be a hell of a lot of emotion on that field...
Anyway, aside from armchair psychology it's done and good luck to them. Hopefully a memorable 45 for the right reasons.

It's one of those where I expected them to scrap it, but I'm not going to argue with the people actually going through it. So long as the players genuinely chose to do it and were no coerced then I am not going to bemoan it. I'm sure plenty on twitter will have opinions.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Sat Jun 12, 2021 7:14 pmI don’t think that’s the right call. I get the players might have wanted to play it. Re: Your England XI
There's no way the players were coerced but my fear is there is equally no way they are in a right frame of mind to make a sober decision. But as you say, they are going through it and it is difficult to argue from that standpoint. But I do wonder if someone should have stepped in and said 'no, you need some time process this'.GhostoftheBok wrote: ↑Sat Jun 12, 2021 7:19 pmIt's one of those where I expected them to scrap it, but I'm not going to argue with the people actually going through it. Either way it is a moot point and I support their decision regardless and hope for a fitting last 50 minutes.

Great win for Finland. Still don’t think playing that was a good idea. Feel for Denmark but no way their players were mentally right for that and probably not right to make decision on playing it.

Godspeed to Christian on his recovery. It looks like the players were given two options, play last night or play today and of the two, they didn't fancy a sleepless night and today...
