Re: CLUB BUSINESS/SUNDRIES ETC.
The question wasn't addressed to you, no. But if there were any clubs in the Championship in both 2017/18 and 2018/19 with smaller losses than Bolton Wanderers I'd be interested to know which clubs. I don't mind who tells me so long as they know what they are talking about.

You'd think for someone so rude about others they'd have mastered the use of a basic quote system on a forum...alas...
As for championship losses its an irrelevant question. You can lose ten times as much if you can finance it. We couldn't finance our losses and hence didn't pay our bills. The rest as they say is history.
Re: CLUB BUSINESS/SUNDRIES ETC.
I'm not interested in the least in being the master of a quote system on a forum. I am though interested in football finance, especially related to BWFC past, present and future. I'm also quite interested in debugging bullshit and hogwash too and hasn't there been a veritable tsunami of it swilling around the Middlebrook in recent years?
I don't suppose you noticed.

Like I say if you want to make accusations or present a critique - do so, directly and with some reference to the facts. Don't come onto message boards and insult the posters, ask vague questions and insinuate things by asking people to go and 'look at stuff'. You either have something to say or you don't.Gudnib wrote: ↑Mon Jul 19, 2021 10:06 amI'm not interested in the least in being the master of a quote system on a forum. I don't wish to be rude but I'm not much interested in those with big opinions and little knowledge.
DSB's a different kettle of fish. Even though finance may not be his specialist subject, I would be interested to know if he had learned anything he hadn't previously grasped.

Re: CLUB BUSINESS/SUNDRIES ETC.
Well maybe you need to ask the clubs accountants for more information instead of a bulletin board but I suspect that they would feed you the same line you've said above.

It doesn't work like that, Mar. The accountants have a duty of confidentiality to the board and nothing that I've raised implies criticism of either. But the circumstances are unusual and there are some very large items of expenditure that have been questioned elsewhere without any response.
The tax situation is only of marginal interest really. Nothing like the tax arrangements of Forest Green's chairman Dale Vince. Just ask if you'd like to know more about that one.

It's jolly decent of you to take the time to fill in the gaps in DSB's football-related knowledge whilst simultaneously giving him a pat on the head. It's a level of recognition the rest of us can only dream of. Please don't reply. I realise I'm not .... Anyone who is scared of upsetting 'the gang' but is interested in what Dale Vince was getting up to whilst denouncing Ken Anderson as a 'rogue chairman', could take a sneaky peek at the FGR thread on the Robins Nest Forum.

Ah so that’s another place you’ve infected with nonsense. Stop referring us to your own work and just go and play with someone else. Thanks .Gudnib wrote: ↑Tue Jul 20, 2021 6:07 amAnyone who is scared of upsetting 'the gang' but is interested in what Dale Vince was getting up to whilst denouncing Ken Anderson as a 'rogue chairman', could take a sneaky peek at the FGR thread on the Robins Nest Forum.

Re: CLUB BUSINESS/SUNDRIES ETC.
As if accounting procedures and high finance aren't dull enough Gudnib, repetition doesn't make it any more interesting.
What ground breaking, earth shattering info has all your research come up with? Allardyce indulges in a bit of hyperbole, Marc Iles once made an error, companies shift money around. Feckin riveting stuff.
For a bloke who must be (at least) in your late 70s, haven't you got anything more worthwhile to do? A shed you could potter in, for example?

Re: CLUB BUSINESS/SUNDRIES ETC.
Can you give us an insight into Curzon Ashton's accounts in 2016/17?

Re: CLUB BUSINESS/SUNDRIES ETC.
The accountants have the information. If you want the information you have to ensure that you meet the criteria to get it, such as paying for that information (as was the remit from Ken Anderson) or being trusted by the owners so that they will let you see that information. Given that you are unlikely to pay for that information and also unlikely to be trusted with that information without a business relationship then it would seem you are at an impasse, one which is not improved by posting provocative messages on a forum.Gudnib wrote: ↑Mon Jul 19, 2021 12:35 pmIt doesn't work like that, Mar. I don't know if any of you have seen some of his previous work but David Squires take on Swindons financial situation prompted a giggle or two amongst the doom

Why don't you try writing to accountants regulators, Mar, and see what they might think of accountants selling client's confidential information?

Re: CLUB BUSINESS/SUNDRIES ETC.
They "sold" it with KA's consent. He's on about the fee that tosser was charging potential buyers to look at the books. And the implication being that without Shazza agreeing to the same (good luck) no-one is getting anything beyond what CH make available.

Re: CLUB BUSINESS/SUNDRIES ETC.
He's on about something completely different. Nothing to do with FV accounts at all. Pleased we've got that cleared up. He's on about the fee that's charged to prevent timewasters and tyre kickers wasting the club's time and money. I've got it but its nowt to do with the present situation.
