Remember you were a womble. MK Dons (H) EFL L1 7.8.21 3pm KO
Fresh from Gudnib's economic and financial 'revelations', Saturday sees us take a more Keynesian approach with Milton's Franchise football club. Football and crowds are back, baby!
On the upside we've got momentum and 10000 season ticket holders roaring us on. A good pre season behind us, owners, manager, players and the vast majority of supporters all pulling in the same direction against the most (?) unpopular club in the country.
On the downside - we're a division higher, Evatt's getting a reputation for being a slow starter, our transfer business has been steady yet unspectacular.
Who's excited?
1-0 to the Whites. Dapo hits the ground running. 14k on. What's tha reckon?

I've checked with flight control and I'm cleared to land...I'd settle for any sort of win to be fair.

I'm looking forward to this, it will be great to be back in the ground. This will be a testing game against a team galvanised by losing their manager. Hopefully we can nick it. 1-0 Sarcevic.

I've listened to a few preview podcasts, and a lot of the shrewdies were tipping McDons to do really well this year. Obviously their manager departing has thrown a spanner in the works, but it sounds as though they have a good group of players. Don't think this will be an easy game for us at all, especially with personnel missing. I'll go 1-1 with Dapo getting ours.

For anyone interested in going to watch us v the real Wombles, tickets in the home end are now on sale --https://tickets.afcwimbledon.ltd.uk/sel ... cking=true
As far as I can tell, away tickets aren't yet on sale. But, away end capacity is c1,400, which I think will sell out to STHs.
Due to massive cock up on my part, I now can't make the game

Yes and worth noting MKyDs are only backed by a couple of hundred. So should be a wall of Bolton noise!
Not a clue how it will pan out but I am looking forward to being there, and grateful for it as well.

Apparently that's not on a recognised flight plan, according to air traffic control...(Need to ferry the missus down to the pub, later on than that) - so will probably driving there and backboltonboris wrote: ↑Fri Aug 06, 2021 9:32 amI cannot wait. I will not wait.

The thing I remember most about Wombledon was us signing a striker from them for 3.5million in 1997, doubtless with wages to match. You'll have to remind me of his name but he managed to score 3 goals in 17 appearances. With an assist from a visually impaired lino, we got relegated from the Premiership at the end of the season. That cost a bit more than 3.5million.Harry Genshaw wrote: ↑Thu Aug 05, 2021 1:59 pmFresh from Gudnib's economic and financial 'revelations', Saturday sees us take a more Keynesian approach with Milton's Franchise football club. Our website/ticketing platform is fcuked. Asks me to login on front end website. Enter details, it recognises them. Go to buy ticket, it asks for re-entry of credentials - put the same thing in - tells me not registered. Fooked in the head.

Best thing about the season ticket. Don't have to deal with the car crash that is our ticketing setup as much.Worthy4England wrote: ↑Fri Aug 06, 2021 11:22 amOur website/ticketing platform is fcuked.
