Nope official site for Stockport ticket sales saysKeyserSoze wrote: ↑Tue Oct 26, 2021 2:51 pmSurely you'll be able to buy multiple tickets on an individual membership? Reading the blurb it looks like I have to register him so I can purchase a ticket unless I can buy 2 for myself.
club members (one ticket per client reference number).
Absolute un-thought thru bollox in my opinion.

And of course true to form when I try to buy a Stockport ticket, even though I am signed in it says I am ineligible.

...eh.If you purchase match tickets on behalf of family and friends, each person in your group will need to become an Official Member and have an online account registered to their name. Via a ‘network’ in your account, you can then add each member of your group and assign an Official Membership to each one at the checkout stage of the registration process.

So do we not want the cash from casual / walk up supporters then? I mean I get the need to link tickets to someone but why I can’t buy one for a bone bwfc fan mate as I have done before does not make sense. I can buy a group of tickets for the cricket for example no bother.

I imagine because the club want to know who is coming to the games. For a number of reasons.officer_dibble wrote: ↑Tue Oct 26, 2021 3:47 pmSo do we not want the cash from casual / walk up supporters then? Firstly because they have a duty to know who is there and assist the authorities with this should they need to.
Secondly it offers them a lot of rich marketing data and information and a database of clients they've never previously had access to.
Thirdly it future proofs their ticketing should we get to a position where away tickets are in sufficient demand as they have a membership history to draw on for priority allocation etc...
I get it seems very cumbersome and far from ideal. But others have gone down this road and I think its more a matter of when rather than if. And whilst it is frustrating and probably will in the short term lose them business (I'm sure they are aware of this) the alternative is to do it later when they have no choice and to force everyone into it last minute. And that isn't what they'd want to be doing. The downside of course is that its harder, much harder to buy tickets in a group (not everyone has the same network match to match) and of course its hard to buy a ticket for someone who perhaps is a more casual fan - they'd have to register. But you can sort of understand this - there isn't much point allowing people to buy tickets for non registered people as it invalidates the whole point of the system.
Perhaps and someone connected might want to suggest this they could allow for purchase of 'guest tickets' whereby a member can purchase tickets for a guest who is named at purchase - and said guest is sent an email asking if they wish to register. That would help smooth over the process and also for real occasional visitors at least let them in easily.

Simple rule in these matters, it should be easy to buy your product. Anything that makes it a fag for people to buy tickets will hit revenue.
Sell them the tickets and then require them to sign up via email before the tickets are sent out. People are almost always willing to fill in a quick form if you already have their money.

They lost 1-2 at home to lowly Barnet last night. The game finished 10-a-side. Sarcevic played the full 90 and picked up a booking. If that's of any interest!

That pitch is now a school. You have to pay £23 (no typo) to watch The Bees at their new(ish) ground. In the non-league!

I never watched them, just heard a bit of crowd noise and a whistle occasionally. More often than not I'd be in the back garden sharing beer and polish vodka with my kiwi and polish neighbours ahhh, the days of youth when drinking and making the last tube home were the most pressing issuesTonyDomingos wrote: ↑Thu Oct 28, 2021 9:34 pmAbdoulaye's Twin wrote: ↑Thu Oct 28, 2021 11:42 amI moved house quickly enoughBruce Rioja wrote: ↑Thu Oct 28, 2021 9:30 amThis is no time for hard luck storiesAbdoulaye's Twin wrote: ↑Wed Oct 27, 2021 11:25 pmI once lived at the top of that hill with a view to the pitchDave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Wed Oct 27, 2021 10:38 pmDown the hill from High Barnet? #LondonJokesTonyDomingos wrote: ↑Wed Oct 27, 2021 9:48 pmknobpolisher wrote: ↑Wed Oct 27, 2021 4:04 pmStockport have now dispensed with the services of the manager. The very same. Managed at Big-Spending Fylde for eight years, then took Hartlepool back into the league last year, then resigned to step back down to manage Stockport. Maybe it was a personal family situation. Or a massive bag of money.TANGODANCER wrote: ↑Thu Nov 04, 2021 3:17 pmIs that Dave Challinor ex beloved Tranmere Dibs?officer_dibble wrote: ↑Tue Nov 02, 2021 9:13 pmAppointed Dave Chandellier from Hartlepool today have old moneybags Stockport.
