MJ is our only midfield player. In January we need to sign another two like him. Without question or failure. Because we need presence and cover there. Number of weak options can go too. Centre backs need fixing too. And cover for Jones. Mad how light in key areas we have left ourself.

We have three injuries that are longer term. Is that unusual? For November. We’ve been in far worse positions and I note other teams with plenty out too. I just think we aren’t unlucky - we just don’t have players to replace MJ or Jones or even Doyle and that’s our own choice. So when they are injured it feels like we are dreadfully unlucky but other sides have same issues just adequate replacements.

Dapo - if he’s injured sure it’s hard to replace that sort of player. But a defensive midfield player to only have one in the squad is ridiculous.

You made the injury issue to be half the size it is. We started the season with 6 midfielders, but magically now we have 1 midfielder because you've got your own special definition of what really counts as one.

Looks like we were given every chance by them, they're in poor form and we've given them the leg up they needed despite playing better than expected. Shame.
Pressure on for next 2 games then. I see next Saturday's opponents Cheltenham won and went above us. 4 points needed really, but 2 would keep a bit of a cushion despite being disappointing.
