Yeah, wtf happens if MJ is out is still a question that looms large even if we sign all those we seem to be after.
Dempsey would play deeper as the combative mid and Morley would probably drop in as a double pivot. Both have been playing those roles this season.

Against the lesser sides Johnston could play there too.

Tough one Saturday against resurgent opposition. We need wins soon and I think we'll get them once we're near to full strength. A point will do here and I think we'll get it.

Have a hunch the new keeper will start. Feels like an Evatt move.

I presume we’ve promised City their lad is going to get games, so could well happen.

On a related note, now we’ve brought Trafford in, I’d guess we’ll now be looking to send Hutchinson out on another loan. Maybe a NL North side this time?

Evatt said he has brought Trafford in so that he can take Dixon out of the firing line and then have him back and mentally right again later in the season, so it'd be odd if he didn't start, to be honest.

I've got a plan. Let's put all the data and media stuff aside and just play football. It might not work, but then it might... :oyea:

Difficult though, isn't it. One of the toughest matches we could have had. The other stuff is basically escapism from the reality of our form. Same with transfers.

No predictions from me for today. We need at least a draw. A loss with a "good performance" would be bad, a drubbing would be an absolute disaster.

We have to score first.

0 points is the same outcomes. Performances are an irrelevance. Results matter only. It’s time to produce. Signings are here we beat them 5-2 last time. Let’s see if we have improved from the players we’ve let go.

I expect at least to see improvement from us. We’ve got four new bodies in, plus Jones back. If we don’t start seeing an uptick in performances now I’ll be concerned.

I’m absolutely serious. He’s signed 4 players to replace the ones he thinks aren’t good enough. All 4 are here so let’s see if they improve upon the likes of Sarcevic he let go in October.

I don’t think we’ve directly replaced Sarce yet - that Dempsey sounds like he’s more that type of player. Other than that I think it’s a fair enough point you make. We should be seeing improvement now.

I've got an inexplainable feeling that Darcy should come forth any time now. Let's not do a "Politic" on him.

We'll be playing a much better Ipswich side this time.

4 new players available.
Who have never played together.
It’s asking a lot for them to gel on day 1

I don’t expect much from January

It’s the 8 league games in February that will determine our season. Most of them against bottom half teams.

I would settle for a point today

Yep, though I still think there are decent points from the home games. Can't be writing them all of. And improvements in performances.
