Playing right into their hands.
Trafford option to launch the quick attack. Holds slow pass out the back, Aimson gives away the corner.

Gamesmanship right. Don't mind it as we're capable of doing it. As long as we don't get punished for it and the ref adds it on then it's not a problem.

This has been as poor as you'll see in a while.HMX wrote: ↑Sat Mar 12, 2022 4:57 pmAny other keeper I see pulling that shit over and over is booked. Consistency
Not wanting to book anyone all game.

Ah right, I thought you were referring to the walking to take the corners. Yeah, the goalie should've been booked by now.HMX wrote: ↑Sat Mar 12, 2022 4:57 pmAny other keeper I see pulling that shit over and over is booked. Consistency

Been two of the most frustrating weeks in a while.

Good save there by Trafford.
Shit again. Mid-table mediocrity it is then. Another mistake by Johnstone leads to their only goal.
Don't know what to say. Thought this run in at home was supposed to be easier.
Ah well. Season over.

P.S. Said it before and I'll say it again, we're not much cop without Jones in the team.

Conceding 6 points to a team who most likely won’t go up - we’re not good enough / ready this season.
Re: To be a Pilgrim..Home v Plymouth Sat 12th March. 3-0'clock.
If we can only get 1 point from Morecambe and Plymouth at home, then we deserve to be nowhere near the playoffs
Re: To be a Pilgrim..Home v Plymouth Sat 12th March. 3-0'clock.
Very little to separate the sides. We should've come away with a goal here just really unlucky after that Kachunga header.
Duels success rate: 36/64
Aerial duals won: 35/65
Sounds like we've matched them for effort but not for physicality.
Any points we're going for now I suspect will be bonus points for the season. Starting off with Crewe next week lets just hope they have a bit of fun and see out the season. Upcoming matches against Portsmouth, Wigan and Sheffield Wednesday will be a challenge but hopefully the lads can make it more enjoyable.

Other relevant results in the increasingly irrelevant play-off chase:
Ipswich 0-0 Pompey (told you they couldn't both win)
Sheff Wed 6-0 Cambridge
Shrews 1-2 Oxford
Sunderland 2-0 Crewe
Wycombe 0-0 Rotherham
So basically apart from the two cancelling each other out, and Wycombe being held at home by Rotherham, everybody won.
So Wednesday, who won 6-0 and have now won 8 out of the last 10, are still below the dots. We're now 10pts behind the pace having played two games more. It's definitely over.

Gillingham aside, we've looked nervy and prone to a mistake since MK Dons. Prior to that we looked dominant. Strange what confidence can do.
Im sure it'll come again, but it doesn't make this easier to swallow.

Playing good sides just highlights we’ve a long way to go still. Someone suggested this is a better side than the one that won promotion out of the league under Parkinson. Must be on something or watching the wrong game. We definitely are short and it shows that we are too nice to play against. You have to be able to be economical and tight and win like Plymouth did in games like these. We don’t have that. At the back and midfield is where we need lots of work.
Re: To be a Pilgrim..Home v Plymouth Sat 12th March. 3-0'clock.
Absolutely shocked we looked miles better once we changed to a four and stopped trying to do contradictory things.
Deserved something out of the second half after making three really good chances.
We've done well with it because it suits our weaker players. But now we've nothing to play for I want us to look to next year by which time dear god I hope we've signed a centre back.
Fossey going off killed any chance but I thought we were really good up to there second half. Looked like Dapo got a dead leg. And Kacha might be in trouble. Looked naughty on their centre back.

It ended on Tuesday, and the playoffs were never a realistic shout so I haven't kidded myself and am therefore not too disappointed. I genuinely thought we were 50-50 to go down at one point, so 10th-11th is a decent result and I'll think that's where we'll end up now the wheels have come off a bit.Mar wrote: ↑Sat Mar 12, 2022 4:51 pmLikewise. I think this'll be our season ending here. That chance from Baka is probably the best we'll get.officer_dibble wrote: ↑Sat Mar 12, 2022 4:44 pmMy gut is telling me there’s no equaliser here for us unlike Tuesday. Come on lads!
Fossey coming off injured isn't a good sign.
Dang it, Sadlier could've been through. Come on Bolton.
We've got some good young players in and a decent experienced forward line so should be able to challenge next season with a couple of key additions. He can experiment with midfield and defensive combinations now. I would say give some youngsters a chance, but we haven't really got many ready to challenge.
This team is too naive for the championship right now I think. As is the manager I would say.
