Money talks (but it don't sing and dance and it don't walk). If someone offers IE & his team a shedful of money for upping sticks, he's off.

Fun to see what appears to be Izzy and Traff on holiday together going around social media. Drunk as lords talking to other lads in the squad.

Barrow have released their retained list which confirms that rumoured incoming centre back Matt Platt was offered a new deal but turned it down.

Hiram Boateng leaves MK Dons. He'd do.

As he's a midfielder, which is not a position we're short in, I assume you think he's a gamechanger?

Tactically, yes. He's a player who offers a physicality and athleticism we lack, can break lines and pick a pass.

He'd not cost the earth, had a superb football education at Palace, etc. The issue, as with so many players, is injuries.

I think there are better options on the market, but in terms of bang for your buck he's up there.

Nixon reporting that Rangers are after Dapo. I wouldn’t be best pleased if he went to that mob, although I could definitely see him being good enough for the SPL.

Going to Scotland is a completely dead end career move at this age. When you are 30 to win a trophy then fine. But to do so now would be madness.

Rangers vs League One is and will always be an easy choice for any footballer. Decent pay rise, European football etc. Plenty of players get moves from Scotland to the top two English leagues, so it's also not the kiss of death on a career.

I mean, the fact people are paying Nixon directly for football gossip is hilarious; but it'd be a good move for Dapo.

Barkhuizen is now a "link" rather than musings, but it could easily just be a journo putting 2+2 together, rather than sourced.

If you believe the team is going to make Champo, would you go to Ross County or Livingston? Might think about that a little harder. But probably not going to think too hard around a move from L1 to Celtic or Rangers...even if you have to be a wrong 'un to play for Rangers

The SPL is the equivalent of the top of league one at best. Outside of rangers and Celtic. And if you have ambitions of playing at the top end of the championship or the premiership going there at Dapo’s age is madness. If you want the money and to play in a side that wins most weeks it’s fine. But it won’t develop you.

I’m sure Luca Connell can offer advice.

If you are at an older age then a move there makes more sense.

It’s all about how good you think you are.

Way back in the days of Sports Report on the Home Service, (in Bolton Wanderers Nil, days) there used to be a certain appeal about names like Heart of Midlothian, Hamilton Academicals, Stirling Albion and Queen of the South etc, but that was long ago. Dapo in a kilt, nah, apart from not wanting to lose him, the very thought just jars. He's already stated he wants to be here, so money might over-rule all else, but lock the agents up and keep the laddie.

Easy to say all of the above, but if they’re in the Champions League and offering to treble his wages then it might be hard to turn down.

The figure of £1.5m sounds low to me, though. I’d want double.

Was he linked with a move to Dundee?

What’s the point of signing for one of two championship level sides to play league one cloggers who kick you up in the air week in week out? He can do that here. Rangers won’t improve him or help him play at an actual high level. And it’s a dead end for that reason. Nobody cares about Scottish football. Yes one year in every ten they might have a decent run in one of the Mickey Mouse European competitions.

Winning promotion to the premiership from the championship is worth more in my view than winning the Scottish premiership.

Again, Rangers could well be playing Champions League football next year, and will almost certainly be able to offer Dapo massively improved terms.

We could speculate that he might be our top earner at the moment on c.£5k per week. Rangers I’m sure could easily offer him £15 or £20k. Easy for you and I to say he should turn that down because the SPL is a shite league, but this is Dapo’s livelihood.

That would be the Micky Mouse cup that we didn't win or get to the final in? Played Bayern? Athleti? That tinpot cup?

As for Luca Connell, he was what? 18? You think.Celtic signed him to go straight into the starting xi?
