No you didn't. I remember a story about a celebrity hanger on and her emotional support poodle but nothing about Price.Bruce Rioja wrote: ↑Wed May 11, 2022 1:03 pmDid I ever tell you about the time I met 'Jordan', or whatever the feck she's called at the moment?LeverEnd wrote: ↑Wed May 11, 2022 12:23 pmI think it's great fun. A shameful indictment of the shallow and celebrity obsessed society we’ve become.

Oh God, no. That was some other risible c*nt.
Price was appalled that my minor celebrity pal and I were talking to her minor celebrity boyfriend of the time, an absolutely lovely guy.

Ref said, Katie Price, her book signing at Farnworth Asda was cancelled as nobody turned up..GhostoftheBok wrote: ↑Wed May 11, 2022 2:08 pmThe Artist Formerly Known As Price?Bruce Rioja wrote: ↑Wed May 11, 2022 1:03 pmDid I ever tell you about the time I met 'Jordan', or whatever the feck she's called at the moment?
I can boast a bit of football fame aquaintance as I used to live back to back with Franny Lee in Westhoughton; even worked for him for a while. My kids went to school with his and my eldest daughter still keeps in touch with his girl who now lives in Switzerland or somewhere. Franny's then wife, Jean, a lovely woman( now sadly departed, a victim of cancer) used to share taking the kids to Hart Common school with my wife.
I met Dave Makay, Rod Thomas, Mike Summerbee, Freddie Hill and a few more at Franny's house parties. Happy Days ..

Who do you think will win?
Purely for you, who do you want to win?
Who do you want to win to get out of our way for next year?
For me, that's
(1) Wednesday - they seem to have the spirit
(2) McDons - I don't like the club but I like the football and I dislike the others too
(3) Wednesday - I think they would be the strongest of the four next season
2) Wycombe because they are a nicer club than the other three.
3) Any of the three other than Wycombe as they’d be more problematic next season.

Does this mean they'll be on Netflix again?

Glad they’ve gone up. Fancy us to finish above Wycombe next year.

It's for the best. My sense of natural justice meant I'd ideally prefer the other Wanderers to get promoted but naked self-interest dictates that today's result is the better one for us.

It’s all our fault
If we had not thrashed them they would still have Lee Johnson
And probably missed the playoffs

Excellent result for us. I wanted them out of the division. They had way too much money and had found themselves a decent manager.
Gives us an improved chance of getting out of League One, so crack open a beer and enjoy.

Bolton points v Sunderland 3. +5 GD
V Wycome 0 -3? GD
You have to play what's on the park, in front of you.

Re: Where will we finish?
Sunderland have won 1 out of 9 v us in the last 10 years. Wycombe, 2 from 2 last season....
Re: Where will we finish?
Take that to the pessimism thread. It's not just the games against them.
Rationally I wanted Sunderland to win, from a self interested perspective. My heart and sense of humour wanted Wycombe to win.
I'll take it.

Re: Where will we finish?
Mine too, only with Adebayo Akinfenwa to have come off the bench to score the winner.
I see that yesterday marked his last ever game.
40 years old, the least likely looking footballer since Bill 'Fatty' Foulkes, and something like 200 goals in 700 games.
Chapeau, Chapeau, Sir.

Re: Where will we finish?
Of course it isn't just our games against them, but it's not like Sunderland were playing the team that finished 18th, 40 points adrift. Wycombe were 1 point different....
Re: Where will we finish?
Yeah Sunderland going up was definitely preferable. If they had stayed down I’m sure they would have reloaded again, whereas Wycombe have much more limited resources and may well lose Ainsworth this summer.
Still looking like a very tough division again next season, and we’re going to have a job on our hands making top 6.

Re: Where will we finish?
It’s always a tough division. Given how the club is run and the support the owners have already given the manager I think outside top 6 would be failure.The_Gun wrote: ↑Sun May 22, 2022 12:13 pmYeah Sunderland going up was definitely preferable. Re: Where will we finish?
There are probably 12 clubs whose fans will think finishing outside the top 6 would be a failure. I agree that should be our aspiration, but we’ll need to improve quite a bit.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Sun May 22, 2022 4:13 pmIt’s always a tough division.
