Tough start
Up till end of September
I think 7 out of 11 were top half last season
Happy if we are top 6 at that point

Re: League 1 Fixture List 2022/23
Judging by the Youtube interview, Ian is not at all happy with the fixtures.
For Mr. Positive to say, "We must be calm. If we don't pick up wins early on then it's not the end of the world and it's not the end of the season" is striking.
Still, getting Ipswich first could be weird blessing. They seem to be close on a number of new signings and we get to play them before they've bedded them in fully.

I don’t like statements like that. It’s too defeatist. We should be looking to beat anyone anywhere.GhostoftheBok wrote: ↑Thu Jun 23, 2022 1:39 pmJudging by the Youtube interview, Ian is not at all happy with the fixtures.

I feel sometimes Evatt is stuck between trying to be psychological Mourinho and upbeat Klopp. And he often plays the right one at the wrong time.

He’s now got a little Ian sat on his shoulder saying “don’t say we are the best team in the league” over and over again when being interviewed.

I didn't read him as too downbeat. Would want us to be in a better position than last couple of seasons come Dec 31.

No need to say ‘don’t worry if we lose the first few’. Just say ‘it’s a tough start but we will be ready and prepared to take anyone on’.Worthy4England wrote: ↑Thu Jun 23, 2022 1:59 pmI didn't read him as too downbeat. Re: League 1 Fixture List 2022/23
Didn't we take 6 points from Ipswich last season?
Wasn't our away win a 2-5 drubbing?
We'll sh*t 'em

No need to overanalyze everything he says either. He hasn't said anything wrong or inappropriate since he got here. All his supposed controversial statements have been completely blown out of proportion by fu.ckwits with nothing better to do.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Thu Jun 23, 2022 2:09 pmNo need to say ‘don’t worry if we lose the first few’. Nothing to do with controversy. He contradicts himself a lot. In doing so I think it’s obvious he isn’t always being completely honest or at least Is trying to spin stuff unnecessarily.Spartan2 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 23, 2022 5:17 pmNo need to overanalyze everything he says either. Shouldn't this be in the Pessimists thread and not the Fixture list?

An early PSA to be re-upped once we're in season mode that those planning on going to Ipswich away may want to avoid the railways, with strike action planned on the 30th.
