Ref, come on, how's that not a free kick to Dapo?

Did Hendrie win a competition to be on co-comms?

He does a lot of EFL on Sky. I think he actually quite likes Bolton, but he’s a bit of a div.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Tue Aug 23, 2022 8:29 pmDid Hendrie win a competition to be on co-comms?

Great half lads.
Dixon, think he was obstructed but learnt as they tried it again and he saved the 2nd corner.

Good first 45. Hope we use subs wisely...

Iles said he looked like he was impeded.

Glad I cancelled my subscription a while ago, then. He's yet to say anything insightful or interesting and he's got a couple of obvious calls embarrassingly wrong. To be fair he's held his hands up to them immediately but really, what does he add?The_Gun wrote: ↑Tue Aug 23, 2022 8:30 pmHe does a lot of EFL on Sky. Good half, well done lads. Shame about the goal (what us, concede a daft goal off a corner?) but we've shown up well. Dion really sets the tone up top and Dapo/Kachunga positionally fluid alongside/behind him. Lee rolling back the years and we're giving both our first choice "free 8s" a breather. Concerned that John might get caught upfield and I suspect there's a card in Bradley but y'know, already we've done well enough for this to be declared a moral victory – "went toe to toe for 45 minutes" etc.
Let's see what the subs do, on each side. They've started with a very strong XI but of course they'll have more to bring on. But we have some fresh legs too. If Kamara stays on the pitch for them he's pulled off a magic trick.

Nah. Got involved in a goalline struggle but he just got caught under the ball.
EDIT in fact if anyone stopped him getting back to reach the ball it was his own man - Aimson, I think. Nolan and Heskey on HT analysis both content it wasn't a foul, FWIW.

Very good half. The goal was disappointing as I don’t think we’d have conceded it with Traf on, and they weren’t that threatening otherwise.
They’ve got a lot of firepower on the bench - Buendía, Bailey, Ramsey, Cash, Archer, so I think we’re in for a tough second period.

I thought the Dixon selection was a mistake before kick off and so it's proved. The equaliser hasn't just restored parity but shifted the momentum in their favour, which I suppose is to be expected.
It's been a very creditable performance thus far, though, and a better one than I anticipated when the starting eleven was announced. Kieran Lee, in particular, has been superb. He offers us so much when in this kind of form.

20,064 attendance which is good considering it's midweek and we're on the gogglebox

Santos was on his heels for that Ings shot on the post. Divisional difference in speed of thought becoming more obvious now.

It's striking, isn't it?
I was about to post that Evatt should try and make his substitutions early to try and compensate for any mental, if not necessarily physical, fatigue our players might be feeling, then I realised he can only make three in this competition.
