Charles pleading innocent, Kachunga having punched but somehow carrying a bloodied mouth. Looks like there was more to the build up than initially thought.

Absolutely superb character, result etc.
Kacha can feck him, he owes them all big time.
Can't choose between Dempsey and Bradley for motm, both outstanding, ran their hearts out.
There will be some tired legs come Saturday, but you'd also think a spring in the step
Far from what you'd expect from an Evatt performance, but shows how far we've come defensively.
Even if Forest Green were absolute wank
Blood's pumping, for sure.

Nothing worrying about that for me. Other than Kacha is a cnut.

The centre back was a bell end. All sorts off the ball all game up until them. Instead of celebrating his goal Dion was complaining to the lino about him doing it.
No excuses at all mind.

A great show of character, both on the pitch and from the stands - the atmosphere towards the end there was great.

The FGR defender puts his arm out and catches Kachunga. It doesn't look as bad as the punch he gives him to the gut. Had he gone down we might have got a penalty as the linesman was eagle-eyed enough to see the punch.
I'm not defending Kachunga in any way but he must be at the end of his tether as he gets nothing from the referees, game in game out. To finish his career with us on that is a sad way to go.

Bit like Dapo then!

Totally agree, theres an off the ball incident prior to it and it's hard to see whats actually happened. But a pre-meditated punch to the stomach, Duncan Ferguson style can only end one way. Shame it was a case of wrong identity.DJBlu wrote: ↑Tue Jan 24, 2023 9:58 pmThe FGR defender puts his arm out and catches Kachunga. It doesn't look as bad as the punch he gives him to the gut. Btw the putting his arm out and catching Kachunga is not the incident where Kacha got a bloodied mouth, it happened a few seconds earlier than that.

Easy to say this now but Ian Evatt got that one right too.

Sometimes, you have to be happy with the three points. Delighted we got three tonight. Should get card overturned, but dunno if they can "retrospectively" give it Kacha.
All put a shift in tonight.

Call me daft, I think we needed that tonight. It proved to the team, manager, fans, and rest of the league that when the chips are down we've got a side that can and will grind out a result.

They can retrospectively give him a ban like they did with Dapo, right?Worthy4England wrote: ↑Tue Jan 24, 2023 10:25 pmSometimes, you have to be happy with the three points. Delighted we got three tonight. Should get card overturned, but dunno if they can "retrospectively" give it Kacha.

It's happened before where they move the card to the correct person.The_Gun wrote: ↑Tue Jan 24, 2023 10:34 pmThey can retrospectively give him a ban like they did with Dapo, right?Worthy4England wrote: ↑Tue Jan 24, 2023 10:25 pmSometimes, you have to be happy with the three points. Can't see it. They can't compensate Dion Charles for their error in robbing him of half a game by depriving us of a player for three. ? We just have to be thankful we won and got the points. Hell would have had no fury..etcWorthy4England wrote: ↑Tue Jan 24, 2023 10:25 pmSometimes, you have to be happy with the three points. Delighted we got three tonight. Re: The Forest Green Green Grass of Home? FGR, (H) 24/01/23 7.45pm
It was an absolute brave heart performance from the 9 remaining outfield players (not Kachunga he was a disgrace and deserved the boos and cannot ever play for us again).
But the 9 were superb. We have to acknowledge that I think against almost any other team we’d have lost that. To have nothing up front for the majority of the game, no outlet at all and players clearly running on empty. We have to acknowledge the squad needs some work in the next week.
I think Williams did his hamstring too. And clearly shouldn’t have played tonight as he was puffed. He needs more rotation. Where was beck?
As for man of the match I’d give it to Dempsey. It was the best he’s played for me. His running was ridiculous. Closely followed by Bradley and Santos who clearly rose to the challenge tonight. Lee offered more up front in one minute than Kachunga did the whole evening.
It’s time to move on. Kachunga was a poor piece of judgement from Evatt as a signing. A really poor one. But he has to move him on or send him to the B team now and move on. We need a couple of strikers and probably after tonight a wing back too.
Shola was lively but I still think he is a kid and is bit part for us. He will have some big cameos to play but I can’t see him playing week in week out. A good option to try and change a game though.

Of course they can and will. Charles did nothing and as stands he’d have a three game ban. But Kachunga did do it so will instead pick the three game violent conduct ban and Charles can play Saturday. Be amazed if that doesn’t happen.TANGODANCER wrote: ↑Tue Jan 24, 2023 10:39 pmCan't see it.
