It shocked me too and those around me and took a few moments to register what had happened as, to me anyway, it was so unexpected.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Wed Jan 25, 2023 12:53 pmAbout the cheering/booing - it did sound (on the stream) like it was coming from all sides as Kacha went off. Not a 15,000-strong cauldron, but neither was it 15 gobshites. It surprised me,
I do think Kachunga got the stick because he's not playing particularly well, he was obviously deemed by some to not be trying hard enough and he was viewed as partly culpable for Dions sending off. I can understand the booing without condoning it on the first and last reasons but you'll not convince me he wasn't trying out there last night.
We retreated into our shell after the sending off and at times it looked like they had 3 or 4 players more than us. Personally, I thought we were playing it wrong but hey, we got the win so what do I know? There was an instance where everyone but Kachunga charged back into defence when FG were on the attack and I heard some criticism shouted then but I was OK with him hanging a bit further forward just to provide an outlet and stop it coming right back at us, as it had been.

For some reason this feels really emotional. Far more so than the result and oppo would suggest.

Get the gallows ready.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Tue Jan 24, 2023 10:44 pmIt was an absolute brave heart performance from the 9 remaining outfield players (not Kachunga he was a disgrace and deserved the boos and cannot ever play for us again).
If we need him, of course Kachunga must play. He made a bad error but the officials are the real donkeys her. They're not paid to make errors like that and Kachunga lost it for a moment. I've made a few mistakes in my time. Don't we all?

Story came out from the same jouno who has us in for Devine, so that is promising.

TBF - we'd probably settle for Big Dunc too at this stage...GhostoftheBok wrote: ↑Thu Jan 26, 2023 1:54 pmStory came out from the same jouno who has us in for Devine, so that is promising.

IE has gone in hard on this one as well. Cannot fathom people who seek out footballers on social media to abuse. Especially your own! What good will that achieve?

The idea that a footballer should have to share information about their marriage and private life to keep from getting abused and threatened is utterly shameful for this football club.officer_dibble wrote: ↑Thu Jan 26, 2023 6:15 pmIE has gone in hard on this one as well. Club needs to identify and ban those involved.

Age and treachery will always overcome youth and skill!

Ironically, that's the wrong linesman.
In a world that has decided
That it's going to lose its mind
Be more kind, my friends, try to be more kind.
That it's going to lose its mind
Be more kind, my friends, try to be more kind.
