I've got beers and the game on if you fancy bringing the kettle.

I'll be watching in one of the biggest Arsenal pubs. Hopefully we don't get bullied.

That's pretty unfortunate, almost as far as Bolton away. lol.sonicthewhite wrote: ↑Fri May 19, 2023 6:07 pmSunny Newport.DJBlu wrote: ↑Fri May 19, 2023 3:10 pmWhere abouts Sonic?sonicthewhite wrote: ↑Fri May 19, 2023 2:50 pmI'll be cheering on from darkest South Wales tonight.

Tomo starts, Sheehan benched, no JDB

No sexy Kieran. Dixon is on the bench. Assume the KL is injury with 3 strikers on the bench.

I like the lineup, although a little concerned about Thomason.
I’m sat on my sofa in south east London, one beer in and the nerves are yet to hit.

Sheehan is on the bench though could be a minor injury. I'd say tactical but who knows.

Yeah but they might be carrying something meaning they aren’t deemed ready to start.Worthy4England wrote: ↑Fri May 19, 2023 7:05 pmSheehan is on the bench...

Talk that Lee is done for the season. Potentially his Bolton career I guess. He’s been carrying an injury for a few months I know that much.

I’m actually pretty fecking nervous about Thomason. Go and prove me wrong, son.

Would've preferred MJ instead of Thomason but given our defensive woes it makes sense to have it this way to ensure fresh options defensively.
Lee looks like a big miss in terms of offering decent midfield offerings.
I get the impression we've got Jerome on the bench as we've got him here next season and don't want to upset him. Would've much rather have had JDB but hey ho, unless we've got him for next season neither player nor club are likely to run that risk of reoccurring injury.
No Shola. Guy scores his first goal then misses out for the rest of the season from the looks of it.
Lineup makes me nervous but it's understandable. Weve been not fully ideal for most of the second half of the season.
Looks like we're going down the impact sub route with Sheehan.

I quite like it from tactical point of view. Thomason and Morley covering miles in midfield, Dempsey doing the same but more in the channels. Nlundulu dropping off to make things happen in the hole with those runners around him and Charles running the line.
We'll see if theory works in practice.

Sod that. Let's break the narrative and have us winning everything. They can character build elsewhereGhostoftheBok wrote: ↑Fri May 19, 2023 12:13 pmMy kids haven't really seen us fail yet. In terms of their awareness of football and the club we've been on an upward path for their entire stint and every time we've had a hurdle to leap we've cleared it - culminating in winning a cup.
Part of me obviously wants that to continue, but at some stage they have to learn the reality of being a Bolton fan and wallow in misery.
At least if we lose either of the next two it'll be educational for them. Maybe we could royally screw up in the summer and end up in a League One relegation battle like MK Dons. That'd be character building.
