Lommel is owned by the City Group. Anyone in that network is a Man City player in reality, they're just registered with one of the affiliate clubs.
One of the benefits of close ties with City will be access to that extended network of clubs in Europe, Japan, Australia and America.

I wonder when that got edited?

If the similar description is "young, athletic and can carry the ball" I'd prefer it to "old, arthritic and keeps falling over the ball"

Can’t see Parky signing Dec John - didn’t he have him at Sunderland and not play him? I think he’ll be running his contract down. Shame…

12:25 today, from somewhere in Accrington as far as I can tell...I guess he doesn't appear on Lommel's "team profiles" pages - so you never know...
Re: Snog, Marry, Avoid: Summer 2023 Transfer Window
Would be a bit of an odd one for me, unless he's for the B team. We're already going to be struggling to give minutes to all our strikers.
Re: Snog, Marry, Avoid: Summer 2023 Transfer Window
Aye - that's where I am in a sentence. In fact, I might idly speculate further that *if* there is interest in Sads or John, we might be keeping them around until their replacement is in the building (though we might already have John's tbf).Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Wed Jul 26, 2023 11:30 am
Put it this way - if the right player comes available to us at the right wage, I don't think we'll pass it up Because Sadlier And John.

We've already got 5 strikers!

You turn up with 10 and someone brings their mate along. If they're bad, they go to full back. If they're hopeless, they go up front out of the way.
Those kind of strikers

No idea who they are or if they are good but, y'know, trouble at t'mill and all that.

We were linked with McGrath before he moved to Wigan.
Their fans are currently so upset they are messaging Whatmough's wife with allegations he cheated on her. Classy bunch, as ever.

Re: Snog, Marry, Avoid: Summer 2023 Transfer Window
That was Jan '22. Think we'd still be interested? From a quick bit of research he certainly seems adaptable positionally, having experience in just about every position from central midfield forwards – although as usual I have to add the caveat that I wouldn't know him if he was stood on my foot. Hibs and Hearts know him, though; they're among a bunch of Scottish clubs linked.
Both players turn 27 in the next couple of months. I'm not sure I'd be ethically... delighted to nick a player off a struggling club – but it's WIgan, they were happy to nick 'em off us, and these are professionals who should be paid.

No idea whether we'd be interested in either, but they're both good players and I *believe* we've had an interest in both in the past.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Wed Jul 26, 2023 11:10 pmThat was Jan '22. It would be odd if they didn't both have moves lined up, though. So we should find out very quickly where they're going.
McGrath's move to Wigan has totally failed, but he's definitely a good player. Plus his preferred number is 17 and we've left that free, so he'd fit right in.
I'd LOVE us to sign Whatmough. Not for footballing reasons as much as it would be hysterical with their fans already so upset if he ended up here. Wigan fans are so dramatic it'd end up as a mini Sol Campbell to Arsenal moment.

Any outgoings, Ian?
“It is possible, you never know. The squad pretty much understands their position of where they are at with us right now. There may be one or two outgoings but we will see how that develops.
“It isn’t our way to force anybody out, it is always the player’s decision. We will see how things progress through August and into the end of the window.”
