On a page full of club badges the cheapest and tardiest looking is without a doubt, ours, Bolton Wanderers. Bring back the elephant . Just thought I'd mention it. p.s. Now we've got a plastic bath tub too. Classy or what?

It's an interesting one, TD. I'm pushing 60 and all my supporting years we've had the BWFC thing in the middle...Had I guessed at when it was introduced, I'd have probably been 10-15 years out! 1975...48 years ago..

Something quite important happened.

I was examining a Tunnock's tea cake, fairly closely, when the question "Didn't these have jam in them, once over?" presented itself to what's left of my brain. I asked the missus and got an unequivocal "No." Partially, and just to double-check, I resorted to the internet, which came back with the same response, but noted that some similar products had jam in them at some point.

It's come as a bit of a shock, that I could've been living a lie, enjoying the occasional non-Tunnock's tea cake with jam in, clearly purchased by some snide and reprobate. I'm not sure quite how to deal with this information.

Lees is the major brand that do one with jam in it. As you can imagine, in these parts I'm required to stock the different versions :)

The "marshmallow" in the middle of the jam ones was always a different consistency, it stuck together whereas Tunnocks is much more gooey. I've never seen a jam-based Tunnocks.

Walnut Whips were the best. Do they still exist?

That's put my mind at rest somewhat, the thought they'd been substituted for "own brand" was shattering my middle-class aspirations! :D

And yes, Boris, Walnut whips are up there and as far as I know still exist...

I can confirm walnut whips are still a thing and very popular here. Can only find them at Christmas though :?

Right, well I watched Bake Off the other day and one of the contestants made teacakes and was berated by Paul Hollywood for NOT putting jam in hers. I too am convinced Tunnock's Teacakes had jam in. Just like Bob Marley likes 'em.

Tunnocks never had jam. It has always been a jamless, and therefore, joyless affair!

Lyons IIRC are jam based!

Aaaaaah! Good man. I definitely remember Lyons. I guess Tunnock's is my Mandela moment.

And Wagon Wheels, apparently. I think I'm coming to the conclusion that it's pretty much all of them except Tunnock's...

Think M&S ones are jam free too!

This is the one the wife buys at Morrisons. They have jam. It's Lees.

Tunnocks do milk chocolate ones and dark chocolate ones. Other than that it's a snowball or wafer. I'm on Loganair in a few weeks. I'm hoping it's a Tunnocks flight rather than a Walkers flight.

My friend's son was stillborn last September. He wrote about it recently and what the past year has been like for him and his wife.

I wouldn't usually share this kinda stuff, however as he said himself, we do ourselves a disservice not talking about it. Equally he asked people to share it if they can. The idea of Rayan having an impact in the world offers some sliver of comfort even in such terrible circumstances.

Warning, this is an incredibly tough if beautiful read. I'm so proud of my friend for even having the courage to type this.

I've just watched someone spend approx 6 minutes, trying to reverse into a parking space...it's the black Audi. So you get the picture, there's nothing on my right and two clear spaces to my left. Not an old person, maybe 30. How the fcuk did they pass a driving test?

If only they could park like that in my car park. With no exaggeration 80% of cars are not within spaces and about 10% manage to take 3 spaces. Some can't even get any part of their car in a space. I have one customer with one of those cars that wouldn't fit anyone over 5ft and she parks at the entrance to the space with no part of the car remotely close to the space

I was gonna say…what are we complaining about here? Someone taking their time to park properly? Even if they are clearly useless at it they did get there in the end. It’s in the lines and straight which is in my experience a rarity these days.
