Weird if so that they tried to pretend it was a communication cock-up. Hope he's back for Tuesday.

So as Mar pointed out - two players (Maghoma and Iredale) on four yellows in the game before Oxford...

I'm at an exhibition all weekend at the NEC but I reckon the coffee van next door is going to be busy

Not mentioned so as to avoid getting grief for playing him for ten days I reckon!

Mendes Gomes off the bench could be used to flip to a 433 if it’s not working.

I suspect its probably a chance to rotate the squad without getting grief.

After all, it makes sense to play Iredale in this fixture and for Iredale to pick up a yellow to avoid playing in a fixture he's likely to be on the bench, meaning we've got Iredale fresh for Portsmouth. Evatt's been known to rotate for Sat-Tues games so I suspect this may be the case.

Still, i'd also suspect he'd prefer Williams on the bench.

To be honest, I don't mind it. Iredale's known for being a bit Jekyll and Hyde though, so it depends which one we see and indeed what position he plays. It may very well be Jones RB, JDC at LB.

Timewasting already?

Who doesn't know how to fasten their laces pre-match? Fair enough one shoes worth, but doing both?

Some good results kicking about there. Much better for Lincoln to win that one given they've already played two games more than us, would mean we can get some distance on them. Key one is Portsmouth's results of course and a goal for Blackpool definitely doesnt go amiss today.

Stevenage also winning, so right now there's two points separating the top five

Yeah, the story of the day (so far) is the chasing pack catching up with Exeter and Cheltenham stubbornly not capitulating.

Patience is the name of the game from the looks of it.

Missing Randell wide left. Iredale is many things but a left-winger he is not, and against a low block you need ytour wingbacks to be wingers.
