So I was critical of our transfer business in summer but we've really been backed this window and brought in exactly what we needed. Let's finish the job.

Great until you're playing Met Police...GhostoftheBok wrote: ↑Thu Feb 01, 2024 6:24 pm"...officer."Worthy4England wrote: ↑Thu Feb 01, 2024 6:21 pmWhen it's ankle deep in mud on a rugby pitch, it's difficult to distinguish.

Usually the dirtiest teams.
We played a police team when I was at uni and we were fairly certain one of them slashed a player's tyres after the game.

What's happening at Fleetwood? Quite the exodus today.

Marriott and Earl to Wrexham and Barnsley. A couple of youth (Hayes and Teale) on loan and Tshimanga recalled.

An interesting article on Collins from The Athletic HERE.

Niall Ennis now linked with Stoke. Rather there than a rival. Go there, not play much and we can pick him up cheap in summer…
Just thinking though. Cast your mind forward a fortnight and assume all are fit and available. It’s some choice as to who sits out of the matchday 18, let alone the 11. Put it this way: we’ll know it’s a big game if Coleman’s on the bench…

Agree with this. Summer wasn’t right. We are second and have pulled it out the bag at the end of January. It’s been a super window, on paper at least.

We can have a Tuesday team and a Saturday team by the end of the season.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Thu Feb 01, 2024 7:25 pm

We will, guaranteed, utterly shellac a couple of teams in the run in. What matters is what a "normal" performance looks like. At the minute I don't know.

Looking forward, if we go up I do wonder how much activity we would do this summer, especially if a couple of the loans get extended or made permanent. I get the sense the first half of next season would be a bit of a free hit.

I think we'd look to add a couple of really top quality players and then run with it.
Probably a mid and a right wing back, if Oggy works out and stays.
Then it's who do you renew and who do you sell. I doubt we'll let anyone's contract expire if they're under 30. That's just wasteful.
Jones, Santos, Iredale, Cogley, Williams, Sheehan.
Who stays out of that lot? Anyone else who goes goes for proper money.
Selling players keeps the club healthy and lets us do work.

Dunno why but I think someone else is leaving.

If it was 750k, Collins is the biggest transfer for what, 11 years? Who was the last person we brought in for a bigger fee? Spearing?
